We’re Getting Married!

We met in the lobby of MBS - a dorm at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Tony was with my brother Zach and first cousin Myles when I bumped into them and Zach introduced us. I remember seeing Tony before this and thought - I have to meet him! - So this was my chance (lol)

After we first met we started seeing each other more being at places with mutual friends then eventually started to hang out. Later that year we started to be very close friends. Spent the whole summer riding around, going to the movies and hunting and camping with our friends. My parents started to notice that we were hanging out more and always invited him over for dinner. A couple weeks before he asked me out we were riding around and stopped to watch the northern lights. He then told me how much he enjoys being with me and how good it makes him feel. The next week after that we were laying on our trampoline watching the stars and saw 5 shooting stars during that time. We both made a wish but kept those wishes to ourselves. A few days later, on September 19, we went to watch The Lion King in the theater. Afterwards we went to a place in Fairbanks called The Creamers Field, we stepped out of the car and he asked me what i wished for but I told him to tell me his wish first. Then he told me he wished for me to be his girlfriend.....the rest is history ;)

Tony had taken me to Anchorage for my birthday weekend. We spent the day shopping and spending time with my parents. After we finished shopping Tony wanted to go to a scenic area to take a group photo before we leave for dinner. When we got there he said that he wanted to do something special for my golden birthday. He apologized for taking so long to do this (lol) and explained how happy I made him and that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me and got down on his knee, asked me to marry him and i said YES!
