In honor of our nuptials, the city is throwing a free all-day festival on Saturday from 12-8 PM. There will be musicians and other performers, food trucks, and vendors in the inner harbor- right across the street from the wedding hotel!
The Baltimore Basilica was the first Roman Catholic cathedral built in the United States. The Basilica is a ~20 minute walk from the Royal Sonesta Hotel. It is open for guided or self-guided tours (see website for schedule); there is Mass at 10 AM on Saturday (6/4), 8 AM and 10:45 AM on Sunday (6/5).
A kayaking treasure hunt happening in the Baltimore harbor on Saturday morning - if you want to participate, register at the link (where you can also rent a kayak). Boat launch is at Canton Waterfront Park. If you just want to watch - the kayakers will be all over the harbor on Saturday between 9-12!
Fort McHenry is best known for its successful defense of the city during the famous Battle of Baltimore (War of 1812) that inspired Francis Scott Key to write “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Its also a beautiful place to walk around!
Fells Point is a neighborhood in Baltimore with many great restaurants and bars! Some restaurants include: Thames Street Oyster House (great seafood), Bar Cocina (nice water views), the Choptank (nice outdoor seating). Stop in the Horse You Came In On Saloon or The Admiral's Cup for a cheap beer. Pitango Gelato is great for an after dinner treat!
