Our saga of love began in Cleveland, Ohio where we met as kids growing up in the same neighborhood, and attending middle and high school together. After graduating, the years passed and we went our separate ways where we met new friends in different cities, and discovered ourselves as young adults. We rekindled our friendship and started dating in 1981, and soon fell madly in love! We dated for several years but as life would have it, the timing wasn’t right, and we chose to go our separate ways. Life had pulled us in different directions and it seemed that our story had come to an end. Little did we know, God had other plans in mind for us. Fast forward 42 years - it wasn’t like picking up where we left off. This time we were a team and our relationship just blossomed. We had both changed over the years. Instead of the innocent fleeting passion of youth, we now have the wisdom of knowing what is truly important to us. Today we share a deeper sense of understanding one another and appreciate the bond we are building together. We now celebrate our friendship and choose each other every step of the way . We have separately lived full lives but feel so blessed and look forward to the future and growing old together ! After all of the detours along the way, our love led us back to one another. Sometimes love doesn’t need to start over, it just needs time to come back around. Reuniting later in life made us realize why it never worked out with anyone else. Life took us to many unexpected places, but love brought our hearts back home.
