Originally a Paramount Pictures movie house, it later hosted vaudeville shows with stars like the Marx Brothers, Frank Sinatra, and Bob Hope. In the 1970s, The Friends of Buffalo Theatre saved it from demolition, and volunteers have since completed over $30 million in restorations. Shea’s is Buffalo’s only surviving Tiffany-designed theater, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
