Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve listed several hotel options on the Travel page, including Edgewood Tahoe Resort (our venue), as well as nearby boutique and budget-friendly options — all within a short walk or quick ride.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airport is Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), about 55 minutes from Edgewood Tahoe.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

You can, but don't HAVE to! Many hotels are within walking distance or a short Uber ride to the venue and shuttle services are also available from Reno airport to South Lake Tahoe.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire. Think elegant and elevated to match the setting — suits and ties for men, and floor-length or cocktail dresses for women. Our colors are deep chocolate brown and ivory so stick to neutrals if you want to match the palette, but please wear whatever you are comfortable in!

Will the ceremony be outdoors?

Answer

Yes — our ceremony will take place outdoors overlooking Lake Tahoe. Please plan accordingly for weather and consider comfortable shoes.

What will the weather be like?

Early September in Lake Tahoe is typically beautiful, with warm days and cooler evenings. We recommend bringing a light layer for after sunset.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guest arrival will begin around 4:00 PM. We recommend arriving on time to enjoy a welcome glass of champagne before the ceremony begins!

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

Unfortunately not! Please either utilize a ride service for drop-off or walk if staying at one of the recommended hotels. Casino Hotels - 3-5 minute walk Boutique Hotels - 8-12 minute walk Other Hotels - 15-20 minute walk *Ubers and Taxis also always available throughout South Lake Tahoe*

Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on your invitation.

Lake Tahoe is full of amazing things to do! From beaches and hiking to restaurants and nightlife, there’s something for everyone. We recommend exploring Heavenly Village and the surrounding area during your stay.
