Friday's Welcome Gathering Event Information

Answer

The Welcome BBQ is on Friday at 6:00 PM and will be at the Pavilion. Address is (181 log cabin drive, Stanley Virginia). We would love to see everyone who is in town Friday and kick-off the wedding weekend celebrations! There is a parking lot located next to the pavilion. No shuttle service(s) will be provided on this day so please drive responsibly. Please RSVP if you plan on attending.

Saturday's Wedding Ceremony and Reception Event Information

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be at the Shenandoah Woods Pavilion (181 log cabin drive, Stanley Virginia). The wedding Ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM sharp, please be sure to arrive by 4:30 PM. The ceremony spot will be in a field to the right of the pavilion (if weather permits). We will provide signage to guide you towards the ceremony spot. The reception afterwards will take place under the pavilion itself. If you choose to drive, there is a parking lot next to the pavilion.

What time should I arrive to the wedding ceremony on Saturday?

Answer

Please arrive around 4:30 PM. This will allow you time to walk down to the ceremony spot and find a seat.

Will there be a shuttle bus service?

Answer

Yes, shuttle service(s) will be provided ONLY Saturday, for the wedding ceremony and reception. You can also find the shuttle schedule on this website under the travel tab or in your welcome bag when you arrive for the weekend. Certain cabins will have to walk or drive to the ceremony due to location and schedule time-frame.

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, if you choose to drive to any event over the weekend there is a parking lot next to the pavilion and it's free overnight/ weekend parking.

What is the dress code for the weekend?

Answer

The Welcome BBQ on Friday is Wedding Casual. Think fancy backyard bbq when determining your outfit. The Ceremony and Reception is Cocktail Attire. In the Shenandoah Mountains, temperatures can drop to the low 60s at night, dress accordingly.

It is important to have this map printed or screen shot on your phone. The mountain can get confusing and this will be helpful for your initial arrival to your cabin. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any additional guests at this time.

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to limited seating. We hope you are able to join us anyway and enjoy a relaxed evening with friends and family

Gravel Roads

Answer

The mountain consists of gravel steep roads. It should be an easy drive with any type of car but please drive with caution and at slow speed.

Hot tubs and grills are at the cabins! Also make sure to bring your own groceries and drinks for your cabin.

Yes, you heard that right! located in all cabins. Bring a bathing suit if you would like! As well any groceries or drinks/ alcohol you may want to have at your cabins please plan ahead and bring them for the weekend. Linens should be provided at all cabins but please double check with your specific cabin host/ contact.

Directions if GPS is to not work.

GPS and online mapping services are wonderful but we have found that they often do not recognize our addresses or they try to bring you here the wrong way. In addition, not all mobile devices will have a signal in our area. We suggest you bring a hard copy of the directions with you. From the Washington DC area: • Interstate 66 West • Exit 13 (Linden) and follow signs to Front Royal • 340 South to Luray • In Luray 340 becomes 340 business south toward Stanley • After you leave Luray go 4 miles • left on Hawksbill Avenue (NOT Hawksbill Road) • right on Farmview Road • left on Ida Road • left on Log Cabin Drive The Pavilion is 181 Log Cabin Drive. If you are going to a cabin see the map below or follow the additional directions provided when you completed your cabin payment. From the Richmond/Hampton Roads area: • Interstate 64 west • Exit 136 (Zion Crossroads) • 15 north to Gordonsville • 33 west to Elkton • 340 north to Stanley • In Stanley turn right on 689 (at Shell gas station) • left on Ida Road • left on Log Cabin Drive The Pavilion is 181 Log Cabin Drive. If you are going to a cabin see the map below or follow the additional directions provided when you completed your cabin payment. From Interstate 81: • Exit 264 (New Market) • 211 east across Massanutten Mountain • 340 bypass south to Stanley/Shenandoah • 340 business north to Stanley • In Stanley turn right on 689 (at Shell gas station) • left on Ida Road • left on Log Cabin Drive
