Party People

Meet our incredible wedding party!

Lauren Wong

Matron of Honor

Lauren is my sister-in-law, mentor, and friend. Growing up, I always wanted a sister, and when Derek married Lauren, I definitely hit the jackpot adding Lauren to our family! Lauren and I share a lot of the same interests - Jesus, pouring into youth, shopping, manicures, and giving Derek a hard time hahaha. In all honestly, I owe so much of where/who I am today to all that Lauren has poured into me, and Lauren is truly one of the most generous people I have ever met!

Brian Cheah

Best Man

Brian has been a childhood friend ever since their 2nd grade days on the same church basketball team, the Evergreen SGV Fireballs. Brian has been a best friend ever since and remains a constant encouragement in Tommy's life personally, and spiritually. Also, nothing beats the memories of Tommy and Brian reenacting dragonballz at Brian's pool when they were younger. Brian is currently a graduate student at Mt. Saint Mary's, pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He is also an intern at Evergreen SGV, super passionate about China and everything about the Lord. Brian is very personable, chill, all-around cool and you'll instantly want to be his friend after meeting him.

Alyssa Gozun

Maid of Honor

Alyssa is my best friend! We met in college, and I still remember feeling SUPER cool when Alyssa asked if I wanted to go eat ramen at Mitsuwa (Alyssa was very popular =) heheh). Alyssa is incredibly caring, ridiculously creative, and she has a heart of pure gold. We are also so different in most ways (for example, Alyssa is totally go-with-the-flow and I am a crazy planner), but we share the same passion for Brasil and have traveled there together 3 times! We recently developed the tradition of always going to eat at the same Thai restaurant and ordering the same exact thing. Gonna eat chicken khao soi and drink thai tea with you forever, Alyssie.

Curtis Isozaki

Best Man

Curtis has been one of Tommy's best friend ever since 3rd grade when they went to Evergreen SGV's VBS (Vacation Bible School). The rest was history after that fateful day of sitting together during lunch. Curtis has always been a constant encouragement in Tommy's life throughout his lifetime especially in college, where both of their hearts started to grow for the Lord. Curtis' hospitable heart would always keep the dorm room at APU open for Tommy to come for sleepovers and hangouts. Curtis is currently an admissions counselor at APU and is passionate about church planting, the nations, seeing college students grow in their faith and or course seeking the Lord on a daily. Oh and if you've ever met someone that knows almost everyone or knows someone you know, Curtis would be that person.

Charissa Endow

Bridesmaid

Charissa and I met in Kindergarten and became friends when I asked, "Do you want to come over and play with me? My house is green!" Through elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and post-college, Charissa has been one of my best and truest friends, and I'm so grateful for a friend like her who has seen me through literally everything. And even though I basically destroyed her home growing up (nail polish spilled on the porch, noodles spilled in her bed, chocolate splashed on the ceiling..... the list goes on), she still keeps me around =) Also, Charissa is 4'11" and I'm 5'8", but when we were little Charissa was taller than me!

Kenton Tse

Groomsman

Kenton is an intern at Evergreen SGV and we are co-leading the college ministry together. We have an uncanny ability to think the same things at the exact same time and be on the same wavelength quite often. There have been multiple weeks where we've seen each other 3-4 days, or even a week and a half in a row! Kenton is passionate about the Lord and about missions - He's been to China multiple times and went on a missions trip to Vietnam for an entire year.

Emilie Endow

Bridesmaid

My friendship with Emilie also began at Clover Avenue Elementary, and even though she moved away in the second grade leaving me devastated, we kept in touch through basketball and church until we both attended UC Irvine! As freshmen at UCI, Emilie was having the time of her life while I was crying in my dorm room every day because I was so homesick...hahaha! I am so grateful that Emilie let me tag along with all of her new friends, and that during our years at UCI, our friendship really blossomed! Em is full of grace and passion, and she also has the SOFTEST hands of anyone ever.

Phil Yu

Groomsman

Phil and I became friends in college. Phil attended UCI, but by the Lord's grace I met him through Asian American Christian Fellowship at a conference with leaders from various college campuses. It was smooth sailing from there after a game of Big 2 and constantly laughing so much in fellowship. Instantly, Phil and I were able to build a life-long friendship. Phil is one smart dude, and is a very personable person. Meet him once and you'll never regret it.

Steph Wong

Bridesmaid

Steph is my life-stage twin - no matter what season we're in, God always seems to bless us with each other to walk through together. We even got engaged one day apart, and signed our wedding venue contracts on the same day! Besides having the same last name (which we will both be losing soon!), Steph and I have so much in common and our friendship has always just clicked. I really wish everyone could have a friend like Steph - loyal, kind, thoughtful, honest, fun... just the best.

Josh Ng

Groomsman

Josh and I have been friends since college, when met through AACF at the same leadership training conference that Phil was also at. Josh is someone who's quirky and funny personality adds depth to any group of friends, including the Sunrise crew that started with me, Phil, Josh and other friends from AACF. Josh is a worship leader, future Physician's assistant and a constant encouragement in my life.

Aimee Angeles

Bridesmaid

Aimee is Tommy's older sister, and my future SIL! When I was first getting to know Tommy, I quickly realized how much Aimee has poured into his life throughout the years, and I'm so grateful for all she has done to shape my future hubby. She is loyal, passionate, and has an incredible heart for justice. Aimee is also a complete rockstar who will be 8-months pregnant with baby Joshua on our wedding day!

Erick Angeles

Groomsman

Erick is my brother in-law! Erick and I love watching Laker games together and share the love of basketball. He has been the brother that I never had. Erick is one of the most generous people ever, and has really added to my shoe game. Erick shares his sacrificial love to everyone around him. Christ told us to serve and not be served, and that is one of the truest verses that Erick emulates in his life. One cool fact - Erick works at Oracle and is passionate about everything tech related.

Steph Chow

Bridesmaid

Steph and I became friends as freshmen at UCI (She was one of Emilie's cool new UCI friends that I got to tag along with hahaha!!) But actually, we first met years before that when my hula group danced with Steph's church! So when we met again in college, we pretty much clicked immediately and were roommates junior and senior year. I fondly remember college with Steph almost always by my side =) We've also served in our college fellowship, Mexico City, and Brasil together, and Steph has been such a faithful and trustworthy sister through so many different seasons!

Derek Wong

Groomsman

Derek is Rianna's brother and my future brother in-law! When I got know Derek, all I could think was how cool he was. Not only was he cool, but very welcoming, inclusive and hospitable. I admire how Derek has been such an awesome older brother to Rianna, his drive to learn everything so quickly and how he's good at everything . He's a 3 point specialist in basketball, Tiger Woods on the golf course, can draw like Picasso, plays the drums better than the Jesus culture guy and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

Katie Edwards

Bridesmaid

Katie and I met through church camp in high school, back when Katie wore pleather leggings, I wore too much eyeliner, and we both were a little boy crazy, hahaha! Katie has the most passionate heart and fire for Jesus, which I really admire about her. Katie also helped me get my first real job in college, when she worked at Sprinkles Ice Cream and I worked next door at Sprinkles Cupcakes. But now she works for Taco Bell - so she probably has the coolest job out of us all!

Josh Chang

Groomsman

Josh and I met in college at UCR's AACF. The first time we met, I thought Josh was a senior in college because of his tall stature and mature facial features lol. Josh and I became close and were always on the same wave length, personally and could finish each other's sandwiches, or sentences if you didn't get the Frozen reference. Josh was always someone that I could always rely on for the hard times in college. So many late night hangouts and talks created an unbreakable bond. Josh is one of the most mature people that I have ever met, and once he took 21 units in a QUARTER. Josh is such a great friend that after his finals in Atlanta GA for a Masters in Public Health he's coming to the wedding. What a friend!

Courtney Hongo

Bridesmaid

Court and I both can't remember how we actually first met - It just feels like we've always known each other! Growing up, Courtney loved basketball way more than hula and I was the opposite, but we still found tons of common ground. One of my fondest memories of growing up together is from high school when we used to write each other letters and send them in the mail, even though we lived about ten minutes away and saw each other every weekend. Hahaha, true friendship =)

Michael Reyes

Groomsman

Michael and I met in college at UCR, and went on an all-expenses paid trip to Japan together through UCR's culture exchange program. Michael can make anyone laugh with his funny, outgoing and very expressive personality. He has such excitement about life, and he has traveled all around the world - he attended the Olympics in Brazil and worked in Japan for 3 months. If you ever need a boost of joy and laughter, all you need to do is spend some time with Michael.

Missy Loeser

Bridesmaid

Missy is impossible to describe other than by saying that she lights up any room in an instant. Ever since Missy and I met in high school at church camp, she has filled my life with so much joy! No matter how much time passes between seeing each other, we have always been able to pick up exactly where we left off - vulnerability-wise, comfortability-wise, and with Missy doing everything she can to make me uncomfortable, aka touching my feet and licking my face! (Bleh!!!)
