Things To Do

Columbus is a great city, especially downtown. Here are a few places we love and recommend for you to enjoy while you are in town. You can drive or Uber to these locations within minutes. Some locations are also walkable. We recommend using Uber or Lyft to avoid having to use your car.

Forno Kitchen + Bar

721 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215
, (614) 469-0053

Forno is a modern Italian restaurant/bar and has an amazing happy hour M-F from 4-6pm. They have wonderful cocktails that we highly recommend. Reservations are typically needed, and can be made online on their website or by phone.

The Eagle Short North

790 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215
, (614) 745-3397

The Eagle has amazing southern food, especially their fried chicken! It's a great place to grab some food and/or a drink. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available.

Paulie Gee's Short North

1195 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43201
, (614) 808-0112

Paulie Gee's has THE BEST PIZZA in town (in my opinion). It is authentic Neapolitan pizza, and has vegan and gluten free options as well.

Condado Tacos

1227 N High St, Columbus, OH 43201
, (614) 230-2786

This is where Tommy and I had our first date! The tacos are great and the margaritas are delicious.

North Market

59 Spruce Street, Columbus, OH 43215

This is a popular market in Columbus that offers cuisine from different countries. You can eat and shop, or simply walk around.

Nada

220 West Nationwide Boulevard, Columbus, OH 43215
, (614) 715-8260

Nada is a trendy and upscale Mexican restaurant. The tacos and chips are absolutely amazing, as is the restaurant decor. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Reservations are not required, but we recommend you make one.

Scioto Mile Fountain

233 Civic Center Dr, Columbus, OH 43215

This is a great area for families to enjoy the water fountains and walk around Columbus. There is also a restaurant at the Scioto Mile that has both indoor and outdoor seating.

COSI

333 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215
, (614) 228-2674

Cosi is an interactive science center for kids and families. This place is wonderful for kids, and if you have time, I would recommend you go. It takes a few hours to get through everything, and tickets will have to be purchased upon your arrival.

Columbus Commons

16 South High Street, Columbus, OH 43215

The Columbus Commons is a fun area for adults, kids, and families. The Commons has a food stand, an ice cream stand, an oversized chess set, and space to walk around. It is free to go to the Commons, but you will need to park in a parking garage if you do not Uber or use Lyft.

Simply Rolled Ice Cream

970 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43201
, (614) 914-8624

The line is typically long, but the ice cream is amazing. The ice cream is hand rolled, and your order is made in front of you.

German Village

588 South 3rd Street, Columbus, OH 43215

German Village is a cute historical area in Columbus with shops and restaurants.

Short North Arts District

Columbus, OH

The Short North is a fun area with shops and restaurants. Tommy and I spend a lot of our time in the Short North.

Nationwide Arena

200 West Nationwide Boulevard, Columbus, OH 43215
, (614) 246-2000

Nationwide Arena is where the Columbus Blue Jackets play. There are restaurants nearby the arena.

Pins Mechanical Co.

141 North 4th Street, Columbus, OH 43215
, (614) 464-2255

We love coming here! Pins has indoor and outdoor games, food trucks, and drinks. They are well known for their duckpin bowling which is fun for all ages.
