We're Getting Married!

Tommy and I actually met online and quickly realized how many mutual friends we had! It's crazy how small this world is. Our first date was at Tacos and Tequilla followed by a walk around the neighborhood with Sweet Cow ice cream in hand. I always tease him, because he was so nervous that first date! And brought me flowers - awkward. I remember the waiter asking if we were celebrating our anniversary and I quickly shut him down with a, "uhmm...no first date." Why did I think it was so awkward being handed flowers on a first date? Because no other guy I've been on a date with was ever as sweet and considerate as my Tommy. Date after date, I soon realized that it was just the person he is. He wasn't trying to score brownie points, he was just being himself. Kind, thoughtful, loving, adventurous, romantic - and everything else I wanted in a man. Tommy has filled my life so much more love, laughter, and memories. We watched our first meteor shower together, we have so much fun kayaking with one another, and our lives are filled with the warmth of our family and friends. I can't wait to begin this next chapter of our love song as husband and wife and am so lucky that I get to spend the rest of my life with such a sweet and loving man. I love you forever, Tommy Wong!

It took me 11 days to work up the courage to just message Lisa. She liked me on a dating app and I was debating if I should respond back. This woman was very beautiful and I really doubted she would be interested in a man like me. She looked very intimidating and looked like a woman who knows what she wants in life. I figured if you don’t try you will never know so I decided to respond back. We went on our first date at a taco joint and I had a feeling it wasn’t going well because she ate all 3 of her tacos before I even finished 1 taco. I’m not a love expert, but I could tell I was talking way too much because I was so nervous. Luckily she gave me a second date, where we went putt putt golfing. Then a third date eating Korean BBQ. We had a forth date planned. We were going to see the meteor showers. I went earlier that morning before the date with my friend to search for the perfect spot. I drove an hour to Horsetooth Reservoir and went on a 2 hour hike just to find the perfect spot. I found a spot near the edge of the lake and made sure to get a good view of the sky facing northeast, where the meteor shower would be taking place. I wanted the night to be so perfect! I even drove back to double check the spot to make sure there wasn’t too much light from the city and we would have a clear view of the sky. I thought to myself, "why am I going out of my way and going all out for this girl?" We spent the whole night watching the meteor showers and getting to know each other. That was the night I knew why I was willing to do whatever it takes. I knew she was someone very special and I wanted her to be in my life. I knew as the stars were falling , I was starting to fall for Lisa. I absolutely fell in love with Lisa that night and I still can’t stop falling in love with her every day. I knew she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. So at her favorite winery in Palisade during her birthday I proposed to her. That day was the happiest moment of my life. I love everything about her and I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together. I don’t know where life will take us but I know I will always love Lisa because she is my everything and my world. I look forward to the day you become my wife. You are the love of my life.

Tommy proposed to Lisa in Palisade, CO on her 27th birthday. He reserved a horse and carriage to take them to different vineyards for the day. Their last stop of the tour was Lisa's favorite winery, Maison La Belle Vie! The two of them got a private tour of the beautiful French vineyard. At the end of the tour, Tommy got down on one knee and said, "You are my everything, I love you. Lisa, will you marry me?" Lisa of course said, "Yes!"
