Best Man
Tim, who is better known as “Faz” is a loud, loyal, fun guy who is always “High” on life. We met at college the 1st week of our Freshman year. We both lived with the football team and immediately we had something in common, the Marist Football teams coaches hated us both. Going forward anytime we saw each other was usually on a boy’s trip, being that they never lived less than a 2 hr plane ride from each other, which is still true today. Trips to Miami, going to Preakness, watching the Pats dominate the Steelers from early 2000’s through 2019, and many, many golf trips, are a staple of our relationship. Faz has worked at a hotel for about 20 years, and it wasn't until 2023 that I went from the Friends Form to the Family Form discount, which has solidified how we are more like brothers than friends. Although when you 1st meet Faz, he does not seem like a person who may give the best advice or be the most realistic, Faz has always been there for me without judging, even when I should have been judged. As crazy as Faz is and can be it means the world to me that Amy loves him too. There was never a doubt who my best man would be. Everyone will get the privilege to meet Faz at our wedding. Buckle up is the best advice I can give.
Maid of Honor
As Misty moved in across the street from my home in Texas, she got the honor of meeting Liam first. He sat at the end of her driveway notifying her that she would be our new neighbor. Misty quickly became a second home and mom to all of my children. She has loved them all unconditionally even housing Alyssa so she could finish her senior year in her hometown high school. Throughout the years of being neighbors we spent every weekend hanging out, cookouts, watching football, teaching Larry how to dance to do the movie "Dirty Dancing" (which he nailed at their vow renewal), and preparing for Christmas 364 days of the year. Yes, Misty starts her countdown for Christmas the minute the last present is open on Christmas day. Misty is always down for any shenanigan and journey I decide to go on. She has been on undercover stake outs with me, never complained when I would stop and buy tacos on the way to our work out, and never hesitated to give me a ride home on one of the kids bikes the long way in the cul-de-sac. Tommy loves Misty and Larry as much as I do, I mean how couldn't he when he was left on a beach in Mexico to sunburn the first day he met them, lol. Although we are many miles apart now, I couldn't think of a better person to stand by my side as I marry the love of my life.
Bridesmaid
Alexis is my mini me. Not only does she look like me but she has an eye roll that comes fairly close to mine. She has accomplished so much in life and will continue to do great things. Lexi has always been the one to not care what anyone thinks and if you say she can't, she will prove to you that she can. She was the girl on the middle school football team and had no fear. You wont have to guess who Lexi is, she will be the loud one with the contagious laugh. She is an amazing mom to Jolene and Jace and works tirelessly to reach her goals of becoming a nurse. I am honored to have my beautiful daughter as a bridesmaid and even more honored that she chooses me to be her role model.
Bridesmaid
Alyssa is the smarts of the family and probably the most talented. While all my kids can draw, Alyssa can make any type of art and has a beautiful singing voice. She was in honor choir, won rodeo art, Cheerleader of the year, and always made the cheer competition team. She graduated at the top of her class, is currently in a ministry internship, and just began her journey in college. Alyssa can do anything she puts her mind into, and it will come out perfect. She reaches for the stars in everything she does. Alyssa is an amazing aunt and always steps up when needed lending a helpful hand in raising her nieces and nephews. I couldn't imagine life without her by my side.
Bridesmaid
Kelly is Tommy's little sister, but I am very blessed to get to call her mine as well. From day one, Kelly welcomed me with open arms and we always find a way to have fun together. I can always count on Kelly for a day by the pool or anything in the sun where she can catch a tan. She is the mother to her furbaby Bruce who she spoils endlessly and an amazing Aunt. She is the most down to earth person I have met and always willing to lend a listening ear. She knows first hand how difficult her brother can be. Although he doesn't always express it and we live many miles apart, Tommy loves his sister and treasures every moment he gets to spend with her. He is very proud of who she is and all that she does.
Jr Bridesmaid
Whitney was an only child until we showed up. She always wanted siblings but I think she would prefer to be the oldest than the youngest. She fits in well with the other crazy kids and is proud to be an aunt even if her new nickname is Aunt Wimpy (Jolene calls her that). Whitney is a fierce and mighty softball and basketball player. She keeps us busy year round playing multiple sports that often overlap and when we aren't playing sports she is busy participating in the school choir. We get the honor of listening to Whitney scream aka sing her entire 30 min shower. Whitney is my go to girl when I want to embarrass her dad or play some sort of prank because she is always down for some sort of shenanigan. Whitney always makes life fun.
Groomsman
Justin probably had no idea what he was getting into when he joined this family, but we couldn't be prouder of him. He is a great provider for Alexis and the kids and has found a balance between work and fun for his family. We have no worries about Lexi being on the other side of the US because we know Justin will ensure she and the kids are taken care of. Tommy and Justin hit it off fairly quickly when they were paired up in a game called, "heads up". Justin would give a clue like "jumping a rope" and tommy would yell out hula-hoop which was the correct word. How they managed to get the correct words with their horrible clues is beyond me. I still watch that video and laugh until I cry every time. The family all joke and about Justin being Tommy's boyfriend because when we are on family trips, the two of them are constantly together. If you see one you will see the other. They tease back and say we are just jealous! It's fair to say without a doubt Tommy is happy to have Justin part of the family.
Groomsman
Liam is my youngest and baby of the family until Whitney came along. Although he is the biggest of all of his siblings and may appear intimidating, he is the one with the biggest heart. He has always been a mamas boy but he will tell you different. Liam is the kid that I have always said if he were the oldest , he would be an only child. Not because he is bad (he is definitely a great kid) but because he is always into something and keeps you on your toes. His passion for football began at a very young age and I have enjoyed watching him grow and succeed every year. Watching him dominate on the field is just one of the many hi-lights of Liam. His heart and determination is probably what I am most proud of. He has always made sure everyone is included, doesn't let peer pressure and/or bullying stop him from doing what's right, and despite roadblocks along the way he always push forwards. Sometimes it's me literally pushing him forward but he never gives up. I love that he will be standing with us on our wedding day.
Officiant
Jesse is Amy's 3rd born. Born at 28 weeks, he had no choice but to learn how to be a fighter from the day he was born. While he is a twin, him and his brother are nothing alike. Jesse was gifted with his mother's looks and has been cloned as a Justin Bieber look alike from an early age. Of course he has played this in his favor since 2009 and still til this day he gets "Bieber" checked. Just recently we were getting out of an uber in NYC when someone had to step back, and ask, "Justin?". I am sure Jesse would have gone along with it but I immediately said no and laughed as we moved along. Jesse has made some interesting choices in his life and taught me a lot about patience and unconditional love. I never know what crazy idea Jesse will be calling about when the phone rings or how long he will seek out that journey but the one thing that has been a constant and I'm very proud of his love for God and his ministry. When Tommy asked how I felt about asking Jesse to marry us, I was blessed to know my son would pronounce us as husband and wife.
