Flight
There are various flight options. The easiest options are flying either into Athens or London and then from those two cities you can fly directly to the island of Kefalonia. If you choose to fly through London there is a direct Nashville to London flight through British Airways, however many carriers fly into London as well. Once in London you will likely spend the night and then the next day fly out of Gatwick Airport to the island. However flights are limited so try to get your island flights right away. Another option is flying to Athens and then catching your flight to the island. There are a few more flights to the island through Athens but even those can be limited so we encourage you to get your island flights soon. Flights to the island are daily on either Olympic, Aegean, or Sky Express out of Athens. From London we usually take Easy Jet or Jet 2. We are planning to fly out May 9th and return through London on May 20th. Many guests are opting for leaving the island on the 17th or 18th and staying a night or two in London. Some guests may come or leave through Athens and spend a day there touring.
House Or Rental
The bridal party is staying in Villa Anna Rebecca, Villa Sapphire and Villa Emerald. You can find these at kefaloniavillaholidays.com. These are all in Pessada, Kefalonia The bride's family is staying in Villa Eternity in Ali Hellis Beach. This is about 10 minutes from Pessada by car. Ionian Treasure Villas is in Pessada. This is a complex of villas. They are walking distance to the bridal party villas. Each villa sleeps 6 or 7 and has a kitchen and private pool. The complex also has one bedroom and two bedroom units. Alex Vasilatos is our contact here. His email is ioniantreasurevillas@gmail.com This is a nice complex and he is willing to give our wedding guests a discount but you must email him directly and not through VBRO. Avithos Resort is a hotel near where the bride's family is staying in Ali Hellis. The contact there is info@avithosresort.com. I have reached out to them for a wedding package discount. Their website is avithosresort.com Thalassa Hotel is in Lassi and is a very nice hotel. Their contact is sales@thalassahotel.gr. Thalassahotel.gr. is their website. White Rocks is another upscale hotel in Lassi. Their contact is reservations@WhiteRocks.gr. It is in Lassi and I have reached out to them for a wedding packet discount. Their website is whiterocks.gr. Daniel Rose has various villas on his website kefaloniavillaholidays.com. These are various names of the ones that are close and available – Villa Astoria, Villa Atelihai, Koukla Retreat, Villa Daphne, and Villa Afrato. The other option is looking at VBRO for villas and looking in the following areas – Lassi, Livathos, Pessada, Ali Hellis, Svoronata. All these areas are on the western side of the island where we encourage you to stay to be near all the wedding activities. If for some reason you can’t get all the days you need in a villa – your option is get a villa and then a day or so in a hotel. This is what we may do.
Rental Car
Greekstones - greekstones-rentacar.com Email – infor@greekstones-rentacar.com If you need a car and want an automatic you need to get your car reserved asap. If we get them through Greenstones, he will give us all a discount. We have used them multiple times. Most cars are stick shifts though so if you can’t drive a stick shift, be sure to get an automatic reserved before they run out. We have also used Prefanis and CBR for car rentals. All cars can be picked up at the airport when you land. Kefalonia Taxi – They are on the island and are great. I will give you their number. Be sure to download What's App so you can easily communicate with the taxi's on the island.
