We’re getting married!

Let’s rewind to 2011. Drew and I are stuck in history class with a teacher who forces us, the students, to refill his water bottle every class. Who does that?? It was a class we made fun, together. This pretty much sets the mood for my encounter with Drew during the school year. Not knowing what the future holds, Drew thought I was mean and would call me Hannibal Lector. Cringe. Anytime he would ask me for a pencil, I would make him give me a piece of gum in exchange for the writing tool… honestly, this was just a preview of our relationship dynamics. :) I will admit, while sharing pencils and mutually doggin’ our teacher, I did think Drew was cute, and my mom thought he was adorable. She still thinks this.. insert the eye roll. As a softball player, I knew him playing baseball was a huge checkmark. But, life would take us on a bit of a journey before romantically intertwining our lives. Fast forward now to 2018! On our first date, I skated away with Drew’s heart when we went rollerblading and to Texas Live with some friends. After that night it was HISTORY! Get it? Over the years, we have enjoyed going to the beach, attending countless sports games, eating at local grubs, and mainly enjoying the company of one another at home. Skipping ahead, on 11/12/2021 we welcomed beautiful twin baby girls into our lives! I think we can both say that is easily the best day of our lives! We were starting a family! On 12/30/2021, Drew asked me to be his wife. Of course, I said yes, DUH!!!! #goinggrimes. Looking back, Drew and I have loved fiercely. I cannot wait to see what is next on our journey. Hadley, Haeden, Drew, and I are so excited to share the next part of our journey with you. XOXO The Grimes
