South Congress Bridge Bats - watch the bat colony fly out to dinner at sunset Hike and Bike Trail - walking trail around Town Lake (downtown Austin) Barton Springs Pool - natural spring swimming pool, Caitlin’s favorite place in Austin! Zilker Park - large park in downtown Austin, where the ACL festival takes place Barton Creek Greenbelt - long park along Barton Creek South Congress - lots of shopping and eating options, including Allen’s Boots if you’re in the market for a pair Waterloo Records - excellent record store The Blanton Museum and The Harry Ransom Center - University of Texas’ art museums Enchanted Rock - local hiking spot with scenic views Live Music - there are tons of local venues with live music every night, ask Caitlin and Eric for recs if you’d like to check any out! McKinney Falls State Park - beautiful state park just outside of Austin Fredericksburg, Llano, Wimberly, Lockhart - fun towns in central Texas if you’re looking for a day trip out of Austin
