Ci siamo conosciute ad un evento promozionale, e fatemelo dire... Miranda e' stata difficile da conquistare. Tuttavia, se sei abbastanza fortunata da conoscere Miranda e conquistarne la fiducia, lei e' la piu' leale amica che mai incontrerai. Descriverei Miranda come esigente, imprevedibile, ma facile da amare.

Mum and Dad wouldn't contest when I say I've always wanted a sister. Currently I have two, Simone and Miranda, yet I am excited for that number to turn into three. I like to think of Greta as my twin, as she is sarcastic, sophisticated and smart :) Mamma e Papa' non mi contesterebbero se dicessi che ho sempre voluto una sorella. Al momento ne ho due, Simone e Miranda, ma sono eccitata di vedere il numero diventare un tre. Mi piace pensare che Greta sia la mia gemella, poiche' lei e' sarcastica, sofisticata e intelligente :)

I met Davide while training at the gym, running on a treadmill --he was training for the Marathon des Sables. If I had to chose an adjective to describe Davide it would be 'unstoppable'. Davide is both a brother and a mentor, someone I can rely on, who is always willing to listen, to support, and push me. We've had great fun together and we plan for more :) Ho incontrato Davide mentre mi allenavo in palestra, correndo sul tapis roulant --lui si allenava per la Marathon des Sables. Se dovessi scegliere un aggettivo per descrivere Davide, sceglierei probabilmente 'inarrestabile'. Davide e' sia un fratello che un mentore, qualcuno su cui posso fare affidamento, che e' sempre disposto ad ascoltare, a supportarmi ed a spronarmi. Ci siamo divertiti parecchio insieme, e continuiamo cosi' :)

John came as a surprise package after I met and fell in love with Michelle... (John is Michelle's brother) We are really on the same page, a year of difference on paper, but maybe 6+ in terms of experience (without any doubt as Dad and Olympic athlete). We always have great fun and it's inspiring watching and learning from John. I love you John :D John arrivo' come un pacchetto sorpresa dopo che incontrai e mi innamorai di Michelle... (aspetta. John e' il fratello di Michelle :) ). Siamo davvero sulla stessa pagina, con un anno anagrafico differenza, ma forse 6 o + in termini di esperienza (sicuramente come papa'). Ci divertiamo sempre parecchio, ed e' motivo di ispirazione guardare e imparare da John. Ti voglio bene John :D

We met in the trenches of the PhD. We survive, and we ride. Reece is the best outcome after years at the International Laboratory for Air Quality and Health. He is fun, smart and passionate, like an Italian. I've forgave him for cooking carbonara with mushrooms and cream. He's my best friend Down Under, we share the good and bad of everyday life. We siamo conosciuti nelle trincee del PhD. Sopravviviamo e pedaliamo. Reece e' il miglior risultato di anni spesi nel Laboratorio Internazionale per la Qualita' dell'Aria e della Salute (a quite ok translation). Divertente, intelligente a appassionato come un Italiano. Si, lo perdono per cucinare la pasta alla carbonara con panna e funghi. E' il mio miglior amico qui in Australia con il quale condivido il bene e il male dalle vita quotidiana :)

I'll never forget those long summer days of my childhood, spent at my Aunty's place. I was the youngest of the family and I just wanted to be involved in the game with the 'adults'. My cousin Nicola was the guide; I would have followed him anywhere. We shared a lot; from the days of the life in Italy, to when he moved to Amsterdam, and again today. A friend and special person in my life. It's great to be close, even at 16,211.08 km away. Non dimentichero' mai le lughe giornate d'estate, spese a casa di mia Zia. Ero il piu' piccolo della famiglia and volevo solo essere coinvolto nei giochi dei grandi. Mio cugino Nicola era la mia guida; l'avrei seguito ovunque. Abbiamo condiviso molto, dai giorni della vita in Italia a quando si trasferi' ad Amsterdam, ad oggi. Nicola e' piu' di un amico...
