Please do not wear white, we've heard it might confuse the groom. The wedding is semi-formal attire with jewel tones encouraged, but that does NOT mean required. If you know Alexa well, you might be aware that she loves color and is excited to show that through our wedding day, so feel free to join us in being a part of these colors. Jewel tones are colors like deep amethyst purples, emerald greens, sapphire blues, ruby reds, and citrine yellows. Googling a "jewel tone palette" will show you this and many more beautiful colors you could wear if you want further help, but if this isn't for you, do not feel obligated to wear these colors.
RDU is the nearest airport to our venue in Sanford, at about 50 minutes. Our immediate families will be staying in Raleigh before and after the wedding, and we advise our guests to stay at any of the listed hotels based on their travel preferences and desired proximity to be near family. As we do not have a block of rooms reserved due to the multitude of lodging options between Sanford and RDU, you may additionally consider many of the available Airbnb's within the area. Upon arriving, out-of-town guests will be given suggestions for food and activities within the area of RDU, as we believe it may be the most preferred place to stay, considering ride-sharing options, hotel ratings, and food options.
Please DO NOT bring any outside alcohol into the wedding as it is a family-owned venue. They have set rules and wishes against bringing additional alcohol, as we will be providing beer, wine, and seltzers for our guests.
We will have hors d'oeuvres post-ceremony, as well as entrees and desserts served later with multiple options for each. Gluten-free options are available and a part of the menu, but if you have any food or allergen concerns, please reach out before the wedding so that we can accommodate accordingly.
