Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Black-Tie. Ladies: floor-length gowns or formal dresses Men: tuxes or suits with neckties or bowties Please only wear dark colors. Black is preferred.

Your wedding is black tie - do I need to rent a tux?

Answer

We’re aiming for an elegant evening, but there’s no need to rent anything new. Gentlemen, a dark suit and necktie or bowtie is perfect. Ladies, a gown or formal dress you feel great in will fit right in.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 4:45pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00pm.

Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes, everything will be at Rockwell on the River.

Is there parking for the wedding?

Answer

There is street parking around the venue on Rockwell and Elston. We recommend using Uber/Lyft.

Is there transportation between the hotel and the wedding?

Answer

Yes, there will be a shuttle to and from The Hotel at Midtown before and after the wedding. The bus will leave at 4:30pm to Rockwell on the River. Then the bus will leave at 11:15pm from Rockwell on the River.

What's the wedding timeline?

Answer

Friday, December 12th: 5:00-5:30pm - Ceremony 5:30-6:30pm - Cocktail hour 6:30-11:00pm - Reception Optional - Saturday, December 13th: 12:00-3:00pm - Brunch at The Oakville Grill & Cellar

Is there a post-wedding after-party?

Answer

There’s no official after-party, but feel free to explore Chicago if you’d like to keep the night going on your own!

Where can I share and find pictures from the wedding?

Our wedding photographer will have a shareable album a few weeks after the wedding that we can share with anyone that's interested (just let us know!). Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, the couple will be staying at the Hotel at Midtown. https://www.midtownhotelchicago.com/chicago-hotel-rooms As of 10/28, the discounted hotel block rate has expired, but use the F&F for 10% off.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This is an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements to leave the kids at the home.

Your invitation is addressed to those who are invited. If it includes a guest by name, then yes! If not, we prefer to just have you attend.
