We are so excited to have you join us for our wedding at Hatzic Lake. The wedding venue is 9248 Shook Road, Mission BC. The wedding ceremony is at 3:00PM on July 2nd, with camping and other activities available on the property from July 1-3rd. Camping-style facilities will be available on the property. This includes porta-potties and access to running water. The water is safe to drink but does have a certain flavor to it, so some may opt to bring their own water or mix-ins. Showers are not available, but there is nothing a dunk in the lake or a good hose-down can’t solve. We want things to be casual, so some seaweed in the hair is to be expected if not encouraged. If you wish, we can find a place indoors to hang your wedding clothes. Please come prepared with usual camping gear required to be self-sufficient. There will be an outdoor kitchen including an oven, griddle, BBQ for use if you don’t have your own camping cooking gear. Power outlets will be available. There is nowhere to store items that need to be refrigerated so please bring your coolers. There are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants in Mission, which is about a 10 minutes drive from the cabin, in case you forget anything. Meals that we will provide include: Saturday afternoon welcome snack of Mennonite rollkuchen and watermelon Sunday appies, open bar, and dinner at wedding reception, followed by evening snack of Argentine empanadas. Monday morning farewell pancake breakfast. We will also provide morning coffee on Sunday and Monday. For all guests, please ensure you bring a picnic blanket and/or lawn chair to sit at the ceremony and reception. We also have a special request regarding cell phones: We are not opposed to having photos of the weekend taken and posted online, but we ask that you take most of the weekend cell phone-free getting to know the lovely people around you. We ask that you not bring a phone to the ceremony.
