Wedding Party

Tom Reimann

Groom

He's cute! He's kind! He's a little too smart!

Tess Wilson

Bride

She’s friendly, beautiful, and good at nearly everything!

Andrew Tjossem

Groomsman

Andrew and Tom met in their first month of college on the recommendation of Andrew's then girlfriend (now wife) Alli, whom Tom had met at a summer music camp years before. They became great friends in their own right, embarking on adventures and explorations around Decorah at all times of night, engaging in rousing discussions about the big questions (and sometimes really trivial questions too), and even doing math homework and lifting weights (not at the same time– too dangerous). Andrew is a terrific fellow who has taught Tom a great deal about what it means to be a good friend, husband, and father. Ask him about the unique political ecosystem of Colorado, the nuances of human behavior, and how to hack into the mainframe.

Jane Wilson

Maid of Honor

Tess' sister and half of the Maid of Honor duo. Jane is only a year and a half younger than me so we were attached a the hip growing up. From running our own detective agency out of the garage (we had business cards) to dressing Mary up as a boy for a photo shoot (multiple times, they're on facebook), most of my childhood shenanigans had her by my side. Ask her about baking, nature, or board games!

Fred Burdine

Groomsman

Tom met Fred on day zero of college, on account of living in adjacent rooms. Fred was a frequent fixture in the Reimann household over college breaks and sundry other occasions due to his largely nomadic lifestyle. In fact, he was often considered the favorite son. These days, Fred adroitly balances being a relatively good husband and father, excelling in graduate school, and working in an industry the description of which is suspiciously vague. He might be a spy. Ask him about Malta, the dismal science, or tabletop RPGs.

Mary Wilson

Maid of Honor

Tess' sister and half of the Maid of Honor duo. My first memory of Mary is when my parents sat Nate, Jane, and I down and told us they had a surprise. Being the late 90's, we gleefully guessed "Is it beanie babies?!" "No," they said, "but you're half right." "Is it beans?" Nate asked with a groan. It was not beans. It was Mary. Ask her about her product design major, marching band, or her dream job of working at LEGO.

Joel Barkel

Groomsman

Tom and Joel met early in in their first year of college and became fast friends. Joel's rich spirit and unflappable (and I mean seriously unflappable) enthusiasm are a gift to everyone he meets. He also has a magnificent singing voice that could frequently be heard echoing around Luther College and downtown Decorah as he, Andrew, and Tom harmonized while adventuring around town. Ask him about his years spent abroad in Madagascar and Rwanda, his aficionado's taste in Japanese cartoons, and his favorite books.

Julia Reimann

Best Woman

Tom's sister and his Best Woman. Tom and Julia have been pals since they first met at the time of Julia's birth. There were some moments of tumult early on–toddler Tom once tried to bite off Julia's baby toe–but they've since worked through these issues. Despite her many adventures traveling and living around the globe, she's remained a close friend and tremendous support through all the things. When in the same city Tom and Julia can often be found eating, goofing, and improvising nonsense songs. In recent days, Julia has moved to Boston to work toward her masters of divinity. Tom thinks she'll do a great deal towards healing the world. Ask her about div school, Malaysia, and Hebrew.

Jack Reimann

Groomsman

Tom’s brother. The first time Tom met Jack was immediately after Jack was born. Tom reported feeling “relieved” to finally have a brother (all due respect to his wonderful sisters of course). Despite the eight-year age difference, Tom and Jack have remained good buddies over the years and Tom is honored to have Jack be a part of the wedding. Ask him about engineering, cool shoes, and what it’s like to be a tall guy.

Cassie Rains

Bridesmaid

Tess' BFF Cassie and I met 22 years ago at Kindergarten open house; I had come straight from dance class and didn’t know anyone. Little Cassie came right up to me, quickly said “I like your tutu” and then ran away to hide behind her adult. At five years old that’s the highest compliment you can give and, from experience, the easiest way to make a lifelong best friend. Ask her about her coffee shop, photography business, or her four dogs.

Nate Wilson

Groomsman

Tess' brother. As my older brother, Nate has always been full of good advice I refuse to take. He cultivated my love of video games and all things nerdy along with my fear of spiders and heights; without him I'd probably be much more normal. These days we bond over books, sour beers, and puppy play dates. I'm so glad that he recently made the move to join the sibling gang in Minneapolis! Ask him about his work in augmented reality, his dog Maeby, or his new house in the Longfellow neighborhood.

Anna Reimann

Bridesmaid

Tom’s sister. Anna and Tom go all the way back to day one (of Anna’s life, that is). Since then, they’ve shared a passion for being wildly goofy, even more so when they’re together. Despite this (or perhaps because of it), they also shared the common experience of working in research labs at the University of Minnesota. Anna is a natural empath, an excellent dancer, and is remarkably well-organized. Tom has learned a lot about life from her kind and gentle soul. Ask her about child psychology, the M technique, and sloths.

Tim and Mary Reimann

Parents of the Groom

Tom's wonderful parents. Tom's folks live in the Twin Cities and spend a lot of time making dinner for Tom and Tess. Tim works at Veit, a specialty contractor. Mary recently started an ecumenical choir called Spirit Song that has rapidly gained a devoted following and can be heard frequently about town as well as on their radio show, WSSR Radio.

Mike and Kathy Wilson

Parents of the Bride

Tess' wonderful parents. They currently reside in Fort Atkinson, WI but make the trip up to Minneapolis so frequently you wouldn't know it. My mom is a special education teacher and my dad is an electrical engineer.

Ruby

Dog of Honor

Ruby is our adorable little pup who isn't allowed to be part of our wedding due to venue restrictions but I'd really like if everyone took a moment to look at this cute picture of her. Ask her about squirrels, walks, or her stuffed moose.
