For those of you traveling in for the weekend, we will be hosting a Welcome Drinks on Friday night at Brava, a restaurant in downtown Lenox. We will have the restaurant all to ourselves with small bites and an open bar, so all guests are welcome to join starting at 8pm. This is casual so feel free to wear whatever you're comfortable in!
The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm, but we ask that everyone arrive to The Mount by 4pm. We will be offering pre-ceremony champagne in the courtyard at the front of the house from 4-4:30pm to kick off the evening.
The dress code for our wedding is Formal - think long dresses, cocktail dresses or jumpsuits for women, and suits with ties for men (no tuxes needed!).
October in the Berkshires can go any direction, but the past few years it has averaged in the mid-60s during the day, to low 50's once the sun goes down. The ceremony will be outside in the sun (hopefully), but we would still recommend a shawl or light jacket as the evening goes on. We will be providing heaters for the cocktail hour and reception.
If you have a plus one noted in your invitation, absolutely! If not, we ask that you come on your own.
If they were included in your invitation, yes! We will be hiring babysitters for the evening to keep an eye on the little ones as the night goes on as well, if you'd like some time on the dance floor to yourself.
For those who want to drive, there is a large parking lot at the top of the driveway for the venue. It is about a 10-minute walk from the parking lot down to the ceremony site, so please keep that in mind when picking out shoes. There will also be buses to drive people up and down the driveway for those that would prefer not to walk.
