Hotel Playa Negra

Tom and I fell in love with the local charm that Hotel Playa Negra has. No it is not your fancy five star hotel, it is a small quaint hotel that is ran by local Ticos. It is has the flare of both Tom and I as it is a little bit rugged, but still has amenities. There are so many things that we love about this hotel. It is directly on a mostly isolated beach with little tourists and a few locals. The beach has old lava formations that have small tide pools that you are able to hang out in. They offer different activities such as horseback riding, yoga, and massages by the beach. The restaurant has great food and drinks. The pool is a great place to just hang out. The manager has already booked the hotel out to just us for November 9-11th you will not be able to book online for those dates. If you plan to come earlier or stay later than those dates you will have to book that own your own through their website. Just inform them you are with the wedding.

Flight

Libera

The closest airport is Libera. It is roughly 1.5 hrs away from Playa Negra. We recommend trying to arrive during the day as driving around at night can be a bit of an adventure, as there are dirt roads with large ruts and small streams that you may have to cross over.

Rental Car

We will be working with Economy to get a discount on rental cars. We recommend getting full coverage as the roads and drivers are unpredictable. This way you can walk away with no worries!
