The beginning...

We met 7 years ago when Tom walked into Gateway bank and sat down at Kristin's desk to open a new business account for Infinite. Little did we know then, that we had just met our soulmate and how much our lives would change between that day and now. Over the years, we sat on local charity boards and attended many community events together while we continued to get to know one another. There was always an ease and peace when we interacted that began on day one, like we had known each other forever. Our business relationship developed into a friendship and continued to grow as we began to see each other more and more. This eventually led to Tom asking Kristin out on a first date...

TK Life and Party of Five....

On our first date, Tom got down on one knee and Kristin knew that was the magical moment that he would fix the wobbly table. But jokes aside, we both knew that this was the start of something special, something different that neither of us ever imagined possible. In the first few months, we truly enjoyed really getting to know one another and spending time together. We love to travel and explore while we create memories, so we spent a lot of time doing just that one on one. After about a year in, we decided it was time to start introducing our children to each other and it was instant chemistry. They seemed like they had also known each other forever and fit together seamlessly. The party of five was born and we continue traveling and making memories together now as a family!

The big question...

We had discussed marriage and knew it was something that we definitely wanted. Our travels, more often than not, find us at the beach or the lake usually near the water of some sort. We both find that it soothes our souls. For Tom's birthday we booked a trip to Puerto Rico, which is a place that we both love to travel to and had been to together before. We decided to spend a day at the El Yunque Rainforest, where upon arrival we were told that we would have amazing views if we wanted to hike to the top of the tower at the top of the mountain. We began the trek and it was steep! When we got to the top of the tower it was indeed nothing short of amazing! Seeing 360 views of Puerto Rico and the ocean was absolutely breathtaking, literally. We were tired, sweaty and out of breath from the hike! Tom didn't have a ring with him, it was actually delivered to Ocala at the exact time we got to the top of the tower, so he was looking everywhere along our hike for anything to use as a ring and told himself that if he didn't find anything then it wasn't meant to be at that moment. As soon as he reached the last step at the top of the tower he looked down and saw a ring from the cap of a water bottle and knew that he needed to seize the moment. As soon as we all caught our breath, Tom got down on one knee and with his plastic ring in hand asked me if I would do the honor of spending the rest of my life with him. He said that he has learned that life is all about making memories and seizing the moment and he couldn't let this moment pass us by just because he wasn't prepared. That day, we began the countdown to forever.
