Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest 2026 will run from Saturday, September 19th, to Sunday, October 4th, 2026. So if you want to plan a trip to Munich as well, it could be a good idea during your travels! It is about a 4 hour drive from our wedding location or you can take a train. You can rent lederhosen or a dirndl at the Oktoberfest if you don't want to buy! Prost 🍻
Black Forest
The Black Forest offers a wide variety of activities for all interests, blending nature, wellness, and unique German traditions: Visit the region's historic, half-timbered towns like Freiburg (the gateway to the Black Forest) or Schiltach. You can complete your trip by trying authentic Black Forest Gateau (Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte) and Black Forest Ham (Schwarzwälder Schinken).
Braunschweig
Did you know that Omaha (Kayla's hometown) and Braunschweig (Tom's hometown) are sister cities? It's about a 5 hour drive from the location but an amazing town filled with even more amazing people and culture. A stop you won't forget from your trip to Germany!
