A shuttle will leave the Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons at 4:30 pm and 4:45 pm to take guests to Gratitude and Grace. Shuttles will then leave Gratitude and Grace at 10 pm, 11 pm, and midnight to take you back to the Marriott. The shuttle is for all guests (you do not need to be staying at the Marriott to take the shuttle). There is also parking at the venue if you prefer to drive yourself. Uber and Lyft are rare in Ithaca and we do not recommend relying on them!
Yes!
We ask that every guest take a COVID test before traveling to Ithaca. As we have a number of guests that are immunocompromised, please do NOT attend if you are untested or COVID positive, as this would put their health in jeopardy. We would be happy to visit you another time to celebrate! The safety and peace of mind of all our guests, including our immunocompromised guests, is our highest priority. In addition, all events will be outdoors.
Yes! Children are invited. If you want to bring your children, they are definitely welcome. If you would like to bring your children to Ithaca but want a babysitter for the night of the wedding, please see below for babysitting resources. If attending without children is a nice break from parenthood for you, we also support that 100%. In short - we do not have a preference for children or no children and we want you to do whatever you would prefer.
Here are some babysitting services located in Ithaca: http://www.dicc.org/ https://rubyseaewing.wixsite.com/website Babysitting websites such as Care.com also list many credentialed and experienced sitters who work in town.
We recommend flying into Syracuse Airport, which is about an hour's drive away from Ithaca. An alternative is Rochester Airport, which is a bigger airport but is an hour and 40 minutes from Ithaca. Another alternative is Ithaca Airport. It is only 15 minutes from town, but it's very small and flights in and out are sometimes delayed. You could also fly into any NYC airport, if you'd like to spend some days in the city before or after. NYC is a 4 hour drive away.
Taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts, are rare in Ithaca and NOT guaranteed at the airport. If you plan to attend the picnic at Stewart Park on Sunday and want to see some of the gorges around Ithaca, we recommend renting a car. Stewart Park and many of our hiking trails and parks are less than a 15 minute drive away but difficult or time-consuming to reach by foot. In general, if you want some flexibility in your schedule, we recommend renting a car from the airport. If you do not rent a car, we recommend staying at a hotel downtown so you can arrange for a pickup from the airport and have easy access to the wedding shuttle.
Please see the Travel & Hotels section!
There is no shuttle to the breakfast and you will need to either drive yourself or catch a ride with someone else! If you plan to come and are having trouble finding a ride, please reach out to either of us by Thursday, June 29th, and we can connect you with a friend or family member with a car.
