Roma Fiumicino Airport

Fly to Rome, Italy (Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport). To travel from Roma Fiumicino to Assisi, you have several options: 1.⁠ ⁠By Train: Take the Leonardo Express shuttle train from Fiumicino Airport to Roma Termini station, which runs every half hour and takes 30 minutes. From Termini, you can take a direct train to Assisi which takes 2 hours and costs around 10 euros. The train line is Trenitalia 2.⁠ By Car: Driving from Rome to Assisi is easy and takes 2 hours. You can rent a car at the airport. Once in Assisi, you can take a local bus or taxi to reach the city center from the train station.

Perugia airport is the closest airport to Assisi (only 20 minutes drive) This airport makes sense if you are coming from London (Heathrow/Stansted), Milan or Barcelona. From Perugia Airport: 1. Florence Airport

There are flights from several European cities to Florence (see below link) To travel from Florence Airport to Assisi, you have a few options: 1. By Train: You can take a train from Firenze S.M.N. (Santa Maria Novella) station to Assisi. The average journey time is 2 hours. Trains run every 4 hours. Prices range from €12 to €24. You will need to get from Florence Airport to Firenze S.M.N. station first, which can be done by taxi or a local bus service. 2.⁠ ⁠By Bus: FlixBus operates services from Florence to Assisi, with an average journey time of approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes. The bus service runs 5 times a week, and ticket prices range from €16 to €22. 3. By Car: It is a 2-hour drive to Assis from the airport. A car can be rented at the airport.
