On a night at the Kanbar Campus Center at Philadelphia University, Tom and Courtney met for the first time at dinner with mutual friends - that's where their paths first crossed. There were many more encounters throughout college, but while they registered each other it was never the right time. Years later, they reconnected for a photoshoot and hit it off hard, laughing basically the entire time. The rest is history. The moment they fell in love was 4th of July in 2017, when they got caught in a rainstorm outside of the Museum of Art in Philadelphia just before the fireworks. They abandoned the area and had to walk to entire length of Kelly Drive to catch an Uber as all the roads had been shut down. Nothing that night went as planned, yet they still found themselves laughing and having a great time despite the cold and being soaked through. On Valentine's Day in 2020, Tom proposed. After dinner he took Courtney to a spot on Kelly Drive, where they had fell in love 3 years prior, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
