Dillon is located in Summit County, a popular Colorado destination home to towns like Breckenridge, Silverthorne, Frisco, and Keystone. Public transit and rideshares are available should you choose not to rent a car. We invite you to hike among fall leaves, enjoy Lake Dillon, rent e-bikes, sip at a brewery, shop in Breckenridge, soak in hot tubs with mountain views, etc. with us if you can arrive early!

Answer
Summit County averages 60ºF-25ºF in early October. Bring layers and dress for anything! Weather can change rapidly in the High Rockies.

Should I be worried about altitude?
Answer
Dillon sits at over 9,000 ft above sea level. Best practices for altitude include: - Packing lip balm - Wearing sunscreen - Drinking lots of water - Arriving early to acclimate - Eating more carbs [really! - at higher altitude, you need more calories] It’s hard to predict exactly how your body will react to high altitude, so stay hydrated, take things easy, and please let us know at any point if you aren't feeling well.

We plan to hike mid-day on Friday, October 4th, but tennis shoes should suffice if you'd like to join. That being said, Summit County has endless trails of all levels to explore, so it's up to you!

Because we've opted for an intimate wedding weekend, YOU are the wedding party! Our goal is to spend as much time with you as we can while you're in Colorado.
