Things To Do

Boards & Brews

941 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03101
, (603) 232-5184

Like board games? This unique bar has thousands of games, very reasonably priced food, and lots of creative and delicious drinks. If any or all of that sounds good to you you should definitely check this place out. We have had many wonderful times here. Note, this place is popular and can get busy so we recommend making a reservation.

Union Square

Union Square, Milford, NH 03055

This quaint spot about 10 minutes from our house has a collection of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Our favorites include Riverhouse Cafe (breakfast and lunch only), Station 101 Brewing, and Bar One (great food, chill atmosphere). There is also a nice walk along the river.

Able Ebenezer Brewing Company

31 Columbia Circle, Merrimack, NH 03054
, (603) 262-5543

Laid back Brewery with tasty beer. Short drive from the hotel.

The Bistro at LaBelle Winery

345 New Hampshire 101, Amherst, NH 03031
, (603) 672-9898

Check ahead of time for availability as often closed for private events. Pleasant vineyard down the street from our house. We've enjoyed doing tastings here. They also serve good food but we typically don't eat here because it's a bit pricey. However, if you go for lunch it's more reasonable.

Horse Hill Nature Preserve

184 Amherst Road, Merrimack, NH 03054

Nice place for leisurely walk in the woods or mountain biking. We go here regularly to bike or walk Dakota. Be warned trails aren't labeled super well so be sure to bring your phone and pay attention to where you are going as it can be easy to get turned around.

Liquid Therapy

14 Court Street, Nashua, NH 03060
, (603) 402-9391

Brewery in Nashua in an old Fire Station. Good brews and food. For the athletic and adventurous type this can be paired with Vertical Dreams.

Vertical Dreams - Nashua

25 East Otterson Street, Nashua, NH 03060
, (603) 943-7571

Rock climbing gym. Check out their website for details.

Mine Falls Park

Nashua, NH 03060
, (603) 589-3370

Park in the center of Nashua with trails along canals, pond, and river. Great place for novice and intermediate mountain biking and leisurely walks. Note that some parts can get a little sketchy after dark. Close proximity to the hotel.

Pack Monadnock Mountain

Peterborough, NH 03458

Moderate hike only 50 minutes from the hotel. On clear days you can see Boston from the summit. Experienced hikers can easily do this in half a day. There are also good restaurants in downtown Peterborough if you work up an appetite.

Alec's Shoe Store

1617 Southwood Drive, Nashua, NH 03063
, (603) 882-6811

Hi, Tom here, I'm told by multiple authorities on the subject that this is the best place in the universe for shoes. Large store, full of lots of shoes, helpful staff, and have also heard there's a large clearance section? And if that's not enough for you, those coming from out of State NH does not have sales tax! All this and is walking distance from the hotel.
