Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe — in 2020, during a time when dating apps felt more like a chore than a chance at real love. Alia was just about ready to delete Hinge for good after a string of disappointing experiences… until she matched with Tom. What we didn’t know at the time was that the world was about to change. As COVID-19 swept in, so did a new chapter for us — one that would bring us closer in ways we never expected. Our early days were filled with nights in which Tom would cook for Alia amazing dishes (we all know he is the real cook in this household) game nights, and hikes in the beautiful Colorado outdoors. ⛰️ Quarantining together turned out to be one of the most unforgettable adventures of our lives — the kind of togetherness that helps you see someone’s heart up close. 💫 Oh, and let’s not forget the real MVP: 🐶Doki, Alia’s beloved Shih Tzu. Naturally, Tom fell head over heels for Doki — as everyone does — and from that moment, we were a trio. Since those early months, the three of us have been inseparable. From moving in together, to traveling to new places, to carving out time for weekly date nights, our life has been filled with laughter, growth, and a lot of love (and Doki's cute underbite). After 4½ incredible years, Tom knew he couldn’t imagine life without Alia… or maybe more accurately, without Doki 😉. So on a long-dreamed-of trip to Moab, surrounded by breathtaking red rocks and the magic of the moment, he proposed — and it was everything we hoped it would be: simple, beautiful, and completely us.
