Tom and I met about 5 years before I moved to Denver (roughly June 2016) when Tom was serving the bachelorette party I was attending. Of course we had to play a game during that time and the next item to check off was "write your number on a bartenders arm", so being the only single one and Tom being as handsome as he is why not put it on his. Oh and for all the South Dakota people out there, the bar was Shenanigan's!! ;) We ended up talking on and off for the rest of the year and met up a few times with our friends at Shenanigan's, but it just wasn't our time. Tom was still in nursing school at Augie and I just had moved to a brand new city and wasn't looking to brought back to South Dakota. August 2019 I was surfing Instagram and Tom popped up and "people you may know" so I had to add him because I haven't seen or talked to him in so long and was curious what he was up to. That evening Tom sent me a text see how I was and what I was up to. We talked for a solid week and then Tom politely tried to ghost me and that timing wasn't right for him. I was devastated, but completely understood. Well, that lasted about 10 hours before he ended up texting me again and basically saying he made a mistake (lol). October 2019 I made my first trip to Florida where Tom just started his second travel assignment and the rest is history. The second day in I knew I was going to marry this man as I sat on the porch, listening to the ocean, drinking a drink that Tom made, and smelling the Chicken Alfredo he was making. I knew I couldn't let this man go if he could be a bartender and a chef. Tom moved to Denver January 2020 and the rest is history. We have two of the most beautiful dogs and we are living our best lives.
