You should not need a car while in Dublin, but if you plan on exploring different areas in Ireland, you'll need a vehicle. You will need a rental car to travel from Dublin to Castle Leslie in Monaghan (approximately a 90-minute drive). A 5 day rental ranges anywhere from $150-$400. We recommend sharing a car with fellow guests if possible. Remember, they drive on the left side of the road in Ireland! Hotel
Located across from the National Concert Hall and just a few minutes from two of Dublin’s most beautiful parks, the Conrad benefits from its dreamy location. Although its setting hasn’t changed, its recent €14 million ($16 million) renovation has cemented its reputation as one of the most impressive hotels in town. The bright lobby, which draws influences from the nearby Iveagh Gardens, is filled with branch-like light fixtures and neutral greens—a color scheme that continues in the rooms. Another impressive thing to come from the refurb is The Coburg, a sexy brasserie with impeccable food. Although it's not all that impressive from the outside, the Conrad, one of the unsung heroes of the Dublin hotel scene, has managed to nail luxury without sacrificing style.
Hotel
The Dean, feels part Soho House, part Bowery—in other words, it's a magnet for creatives that favor an unstuffy, low-key luxury. It’s a nondescript, 51-room boutique hotel located in the edgier south side of town, where the nightlife scene is bustling every night of the week (a dream for some, a nightmare for others). Enter through a moodily lit doorway and you’ll find a neon sign spelling “I Fell in Love Here,” and similarly cool décor throughout.
