Our Story

We met in the library at Arkansas State during our first semester of college. Maybe a week later, on December 3, 2014, he started talking to me while we were both studying for final exams. We met in the cafeteria for lunch and dinner the next couple of days, and went to Andy's for frozen custard before heading home for the holidays. On December 20, 2014, he asked me to be his girlfriend at Garvan Gardens in the blue reindeer parking lot. On June 23, 2015, he dropped me (gave me his fraternity letters.) Fast forward some time, and on January 12, 2017, he asked me to be his wife. How? Well, I was coming back to Jonesboro early to get moved back in to my apartment. When I arrived in Jonesboro that afternoon, he said he had to do laundry and would be over to help me soon. As I was unpacking he called and asked me to go to dinner with him, and of course I said yes. So I got ready and he came over, and around 6:30 we went to dinner. He told me we had a reservation at Red Lobster at 6:45, I was ecstatic because that is my favorite place to eat. After we finished dinner and he closed our tab, he grabbed my hands and began talking to me about how he was excited for the new year and all that God had in store for us. He then told me he had to take care of something, slid out of the booth, and got down on one knee. He said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and asked me if I would do him the honor of marrying him. I, of course, said yes and I am beyond ready to marry my best friend come December.
