We love NODA for Sabor's delicious mexican food, grabbing a beer at one of their MANY breweries, a yummy treat at Pop Bar or Amelie's French Bakery, or acting like a kid again at Abari game bar!
Plaza Midwood
Plaza Midwood is expanding by the minute! We love getting a great look at the skyline at Peculiar Rabbit or Whiskey Warehouse, or grabbing a delicious bite to eat at Midwood Smokehouse, Pizza Peel, or Moo Brew. Workman's Friend is great for both, especially if you want to play some corn hole and stay awhile.
Historic South End
We probably spend most of our time in South End because it's charming and has the most variety. Places we love: Leroy Fox, Suffolk Punch, Dilworth Tasting Room, Vin Master, Blaze Pizza, Southbound, Craft Tasting Room, Atherton Mill, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, and Sycamore Brewery. If you're in town on Friday night, there's always a food truck rally at Sycamore Brewery!
Dilworth
When we're in Dilworth we always visit Foxcroft Wine Co, Tacos (RuRu's, Bakersfield or Babalu), Duck Donuts, 300 East, Sunflower Baking Co, and Kid Cashew. Dilworth also has a food truck rally on Friday nights!
Downtown (or some people say Uptown) Charlotte
Whether it's downtown or uptown, make sure you visit Fahrenheit, Capitol Grille, City Lights, Poplar House, Sophia's Lounge, The Epicentre, 5Church, Amelie's French Bakery, Fuel Pizza, Que Onda, 7th Street Market, or The Discovery Place.
Birkdale Village
Birkdale Village is located in Huntersville which is 14 miles North of Charlotte, and is a great place to get some shopping done, have multiple options for restaurants, or maybe to catch a movie. Visit Midwood Smokehouse, Bad Daddy's Burgers, Eez Sushi, Brixx Pizza, Corkscrew, Red Rocks, and Dressler's.
Davidson/Lake Norman
Davidson is a quaint little college town and is located on Lake Norman 19 miles North of Charlotte. It also happens to be Alyssa's hometown! Make sure you visit Kindred, The Soda Shop, Mestizo, The Village Store, Summit Coffee, The Pickled Peach, Davidson Beverage Company, Carrburritos, and Old Town Public House. Great places to see the lake: Lake Norman Cottage, North Harbor Club, Jetton park, Hello Sailor, and Port City Club.
LYNX Light Rail
Gives you a great view of the city and is an easy way to navigate the streets of downtown and some surrounding neighborhoods quickly.
Charlotte BCycle
This is a fun way to experience Charlotte's great weather and get some exercise!
