Q&A

If you have any questions other than what's listed here, please reach out to Emily at 248-882-4487.
Question

ARE CHILDREN INVITED?

Answer

We love your little ones, we really do! However, due to many factors including limited space, we respectfully request that our wedding be child-free. We hope you understand and enjoy your trip!

Question

CAN I BRING GUESTS / plus ones NOT NOTED ON MY INVITATION?

Answer

If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Question

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get fancy with us. We are requesting a beach-formal dress code and encourage all guests to share in the wedding color theme of neutrals and greenery. This means dresses for the ladies, and suits (slacks and a button-down) for the gentlemen. Please, no jeans or shorts. Visit the "ATTIRE" page for inspiration!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the resort to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Since our ceremony and reception will take place off-site from the resort, we have arranged for transportation to get you to where you need to be. A complimentary shuttle will pick up from the main hotel around 3:45 PM to arrive in time for the beach-side ceremony at Kukua Beach Club. A shuttle will be standing by from the reception back to the main hotel as well.

Question

CAN I TAKE PICTURES?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? Well, we've hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone/device blocking that moment for her to capture. We'd also like our guests to be present with us during these moments, and ask that you please refrain from using phones and cameras until after the ceremony. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! We promise to share the photos with everyone as soon as we get them.

Question

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN'T MAKE IT?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "will not attend" so we can plan accordingly.

Question

DO I NEED TO BE VACCINATED TO ENTER THE DR?

Answer

Although we strongly encourage all guests to follow CDC guidelines**, the Dominican Republic does NOT require you to be vaccinated to enter, nor show proof of a negative COVID test upon arrival at this time. **The CDC recommends that you do not travel internationally until you are fully vaccinated. International travel poses additional risks, and even fully vaccinated travelers might be at increased risk for getting and possibly spreading some COVID-19 variants.

Question

What about RE-ENTRY TO US REQUIREMENTS?

Answer

1. Air travelers aged two and older, regardless of nationality or vaccination status, are required to show documentation of a negative viral test result taken within one day of the flight’s departure to the United States before boarding. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. That includes all travelers – U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (LPRs), and foreign nationals. 2. If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country, and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel).

Question

Does the hotel offer covid testing?

Answer

Guests returning to their home countries who are required to present a negative COVID-19 test have access to RT-PCR and viral antigen testing on the property at an added cost. Testing will be carried out by a third-party medical professional in a designated area of the resort and can take up to 72 hours to be delivered. *UPDATED COSTS WILL BE ADDEED WHEN AVAILABLE*
