We created a Google map listing things to do in downtown Hudson, which is mainly along Warren St. Historic river town Main Street USA with restaurants, shopping, art galleries, and accommodations. Hudson was the first city to be incorporated after the 13 colonies became the US. In 1797, it came just one vote short of becoming the capital of New York State.
Low key river front park near the train station. Within 25 years of the ratification of the U. S. Constitution, a boom of industrial growth and a new sense of civic improvements in the riverfront towns that accompanied the emerging manifest destiny spirit led to the development of the whaling industry and designation of Hudson as a US port of entry. The city remained vibrant even after the whaling industry collapsed with the War of 1812.
