How We Met

We went to the same high school however, we didn’t hang out with the same people. Fast forward a few months into our Freshman Year of college, Amanda was throwing a house party (Thanks Mom & Dad) and Eric came with a group of his friends. We sat and talked for hours as if we had already known each other for years. A few months later, a group of our friends rented a house in the Poconos together. After a week of spending time with one another, we decided to turn our friendship into a relationship!

The Engagement

On August 29th, 2019, Eric asked Amanda to spend the rest of her life with him. It was the end of the week on our Summer Staycation and we decided to take a trip down the shore. It was a beautiful day in Ocean City, NJ. The skies were bright blue without a cloud in the sky, and the breeze was blowing as we strolled down the beach. We had walked almost 30 blocks until we hit the end of the beach, admiring the view of the bridge and the calm waves. Eric asked Amanda how much she loved him and she said “About as much as the size of a quarter”, ( I’m funny I know). She reciprocated the question back to Eric and he said, “Enough to spend the rest of my life with you”. Then he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, she cried of course, and then said YES!
