To be paired with a visit to the Met or Natural History Museum, Central Park is gonna be showing off almost peak foliage during our wedding weekend. We'd recommend a stroll around the reservoir, exploring The Ramble or stopping for a glass of wine at the Boathouse.
Ride the Staten Island Ferry and experience George’s commute - it’s free!
A great option for Sunday morning or if you arrive early in Dumbo before cocktail hour! Brooklyn Flea is an amazing outdoor market that is open from 10-5 on Saturdays and Sundays rain or shine.
South Street Seaport was where Sara and George had their first date - there are tons of bars and restaurants in this neighborhood right near the water.
A hidden gem during Open House New York designed by 20th Century modernist Paul Rudolph. Another early date spot.
Start the morning watching Liverpool FC with a Pickle Shot and an Okocim lager. If Damion is there, tell him the Serbian brothers sent you.
Rent a Citybike and cruise the longest protected bike lane in NYC.
Wood paneling, wall to wall carpeting, leather sofas, and dozens of billiards tables. Come with cash.
Quiet secluded courtyard if you need to get away from hustle and bustle for a minute - aka a landscaped speakeasy!
A picturesque neighborhood just south of Dumbo, where you can walk (or bike!) around and explore streets with some of the oldest brownstones in Brooklyn. Sara and George went on a pizza tour through this neighborhood this past spring! This area is also right next to Brooklyn Bridge Park with amazing views of the Manhattan skyline.
Get a haircut before the big day, and then go in the back and enjoy a cocktail.
Great pizza, great atmosphere, right off the L train!
If you're rolling-in to GCT, enjoy some food and drink at either Cipriani, The Oyster Bar, or The Campbell Bar. And if for some reason you brought your racket - play a quick game at the secret Tennis Courts (elevators located outside the Campbell). Also try to find the acoustic whispering wall located outside the Oyster Bar.
One of the best record shops right around the corner from our Welcome Drinks spot.
The *best* Italian pasticceria operating in the same spot since 1894. We've had many East Village adventures that have ended with a coupla' cannolis at Veniero's.
One of the last authentic Prohibition Era speakeasies left in the city. Usually there's a bouncer next to a small gate that is the tip off to where the entrance is, as it's intentionally hard to find! Once you go through a long alley, you'll enter the swankiest hidden bar and you'll drink cocktails out of tea cups.
Awesome brewery in Gowanus - they have a separate space where you can hear live music. George and Stef enjoyed some Balkan music here once!
