It all started on Halloween night in 2021 in Hawaii. He was stationed in Kaneohe with the Marine Corps, and she had just moved to the island with her best friend, Grace, ready for a fresh start and a new adventure. Wanting to meet new people, the girls decided to throw a Halloween party — and that’s when fate stepped in. He showed up dressed as Chong, she was Princess Belle. Their first meeting was short, but unforgettable. Not long after, they crossed paths again through mutual friends, and what started as easy conversation and lots of laughter quickly turned into something more. By the start of 2022, they were officially together — inseparable and falling in love in paradise. They welcomed the new year with their very first kiss, standing on a rooftop under a sky lit up with fireworks, as if the universe was cheering them on from the very beginning. From dancing the nights away and sipping wine on the beach to swimming with sharks and skydiving over the ocean, their days were filled with adventure, laughter, and the deep, steady kind of love that feels like home. Just before leaving the island, he proposed. They celebrated with champagne on the North Shore, the waves crashing and the sun setting — a perfect ending to one chapter and the beautiful beginning of another. Together, they traveled across the country, visiting family and loved ones, before settling on the mainland as Nate completed his service. They made their new home in Oregon, where their loving husky, Kamaiya — Alyssa’s loyal companion since 2019 — became the proud big sister to their greatest blessing, sweet baby Maeve, born in May 2024. Now, surrounded by the people they love most, they’re finally tying the knot — still just as wildly in love as they were on that New Years night in Hawaii, ready to keep building their forever together.
