Building OUR own Bridge

The one he stole...

Todd and Stephanie met a couple years ago while building a bridge together in Lubbock, Texas! Todd was the concrete salesman for the bridges Stephanie was in charge of building. They spent many hours together while building this bridge! From pre-pour lunch meetings to deck pours overnight to chitchat and stories about life. While building the bridge they also built a concrete friendship. Todd asked Stephanie to hang out after work numerous times. Yet she kept turning him down until he had finally given up... On her 30th birthday, Stephanie asked him to join her and a group of friends to come out and celebrate! He of course accepted. That night they both realized that this friendship was going to be much more than a friendship! After two years of “courting” he won her heart on the dance floor!

We Eloped!!

Las Vegas, Nevada’s Little Church of the West

The trip began with a hilarious Southwest Airlines flight crew. Stephanie boarded the flight wearing a “Bride” tee shirt and hobbling with a new walking boot. Loujuanna inquired if it was an injury from wedding shenanigans or if the wedding was still to come... As Stephanie sat in the front row awaiting her groom, Loujuanna chatted with her. When Todd came aboard he was comical “Hey good looking is this seat taken?” Loujuanna peered around the corner to ensure he was in fact the groom! “If he’s not I’ll make him move!” While en route to our connecting flight in Austin, the flight attendants called the Captain who called to the air traffic controllers who contacted the ground crew in a grand plan and the couple was totally oblivious until landing. Once landed the flight crew informed the whole plane that the couple was headed to Las Vegas to be married and for everyone to wish them well! Next, the door opens and the flight crew brought the couple a bottle of champagne and instructed them to stand at the front of the plane so everyone had a chance to congratulate them. On May 17, 2018 the couple exchanged vows and rings at the Little Church of the West in an intimate private ceremony. They were joined by one couple to witness the ceremony. The couple began their lives as husband and wife with a meal at Hugo’s Cellar in the Four Queens hotel on Fremont Street. Many wonderful memories were made during their trip to Las Vegas!
