It's time we're getting married.

Soo .. Todd and I first met back in 2008. He was attending the high school across the street from my moms house in the Bronx. I was in front of the building with my mom with a red cart about to go shopping. Todd and a group of boys crossed over and he was the only one looking at me. My mom got upset and was like "the hell they looking at". I just said I don't know ma! At the time I had no idea who he was. My sister moved back home from Atlanta and began attending the same school. She then became good friends with this boy she always spoke about.I would ignore her until she invited him over and it was Todd wow lol. Who would have knew he will one day be the man of my dreams, father of my child, and husband for the rest of my life.

This was it. I was finally going to propose to the love of my life. I had to make sure it was going to be special. After all, you only get one chance to do it the right way. The only problem was, Shante’s not the easiest person to hide things from. I decided the proposal was going to happen at the baby shower. What better occasion ? There would be family, friends, and most importantly, it would be unexpected. I gathered ideas from every corner of the internet, but none were good enough. After much thought I decided to create a compilation video of our greatest moments. I was positive this would sweep her off her feet. Now, how was I going to present this to her without tipping off any of her friends? With help from two of my closest friends I was able to create a moment that would last forever. When the last slide in my compilation video read “Will you Marry me?” The room’s attention turned to me as I got down on one knee. Thankfully, she said yes. And the rest is history.
