Updated 7.17.2020: We are moving forward with the new wedding date at this time! Each of you is very special to us, and we would love to have you celebrate with us in September. However, we ask that if you do not feel well, are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, or have a known exposure or positive diagnosis in September, that you stay home. To allow all of our guests to be as safe as possible, we are asking everyone to have a mask on when around others or inside the buildings. We will also be checking temperatures at the chapel door, and will be sitting families together at the reception. Also, please know that we respect each person's decision on whether to attend at this time, and we won't be hurt if you decide to celebrate from afar. We understand that the situation is ever-changing, so please keep us updated through August 31st as to what your plans are, and text or call Todd or Robin with any changes outside of that window. We hope you've received our change the date card - out of an abundance of caution and concern for the health and safety of our closest friends and family, we've decided to postpone our wedding celebration. Please save our new date: September 13, 2020. New invitations will go out this summer!

We met through Bumble in the summer of 2018. 🐝 After a few messages back and forth, we met for dinner at a charming Italian restaurant. 🍝 When we were getting frozen yogurt around the corner for dessert, Todd cut his finger on a rusty chair, and Robin felt so bad that she offered to accompany him to the emergency room. Due to a packed waiting room, Todd decided to get taken care of the next day instead, so we went to get a drink at a karaoke bar. This led to us seeing each other multiple nights that week- we had hit it off!

The Melson family was gathered in Galveston, TX for a family weekend, and Robin was excited to show her niece the live taffy pull at LA King’s. Little did she know that Todd had a surprise planned... When the taffy was ready and being tossed to the crowd, Robin was trying to dodge the shower of watermelon taffy but Todd called her name. Much to her surprise he was down on one knee, and after a few questions of disbelief Robin said yes!
