Formal Invitation to Follow

McKenna played lacrosse and Todd wake boarded for ASU — which means he majored in backflips and drinks on the boat. One night, McKenna’s rugby friend (Nick Davies) invited her to a Wake Devils party. She didn’t hesitate for a second which is classic for McKenna. The second she walked in, she was greeted by Todd… dressed as a hospital patient with a sign saying, “Sick of these girls.” Charming, right? Meanwhile, McKenna was fully decked out as a Monster Energy girl, like she had just walked off the track at a moto cross event. Somehow, between the scrubs and the spandex, sparks flew. They started talking and quickly realized they had one very weird thing in common: matching ACL injuries. Nothing says romance like mutual knee trauma. They ended up talking the entire night about life, injuries, and probably some nonsense too. As McKenna was leaving, Todd, the smooth operator he is, asked for her number. Since then, they've been attached at the hip (and the knee brace). What started as a Halloween party turned into the best kind of plot twist: love, laughter, and a shared appreciation for each other.
