FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

This will be a semi-formal event. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We would love to see all pictures taken leading up to the ceremony and during the reception. We do ask, however, that the ceremony itself be electronics free. There will be a photographer and videographer capturing all of the special moments, and those pictures will be posted as soon as we get them.

Question

When is the RSVP due date?

Answer

To make sure that all of our vendors have an accurate count by their deadline, we ask that everyone kindly RSVP by April 19th.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We would love for everyone to be there to celebrate with us, but due to budget and venue restrictions, we are only able to accommodate the guests specified in the invitation.

Question

Will there be children in the ceremony?

Answer

To give all of our guests an opportunity to celebrate with us, relax, and enjoy themselves, we will be providing child care for all guests five-years-old and under during the ceremony. Your children are of course more than welcome to join us for the reception after the ceremony is concluded.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We're looking forward to celebrating with you on our big day. Having you attend our wedding is the greatest gift of all, however, if you're looking for wedding gift ideas, we've registered here for things that we need to outfit our new home together. Inside the link titled "Registry", there is a link to an Amazon Registry and a First Home Fund.

Question

When should we arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2 pm, however we ask that you have found your seats by 1:45 pm.

Question

Will there be dancing at the reception?

Answer

To respect the bylaws and traditions of the church venue, there will not be any group dancing at the reception. Swing dancing played a key part in us getting to know each other, so we will be hosting a swing dancing "pre-party" on May 30th from 6-8:30 in Jamison Park.

Question

Will there be alcohol at the wedding?

Answer

This will be a dry wedding. There will be no alcohol served, and we ask that to respect the bylaws and traditions of the church and no alcoholic beverages be brought into the building.

Question

I'm from out of town. Where can I stay?

Answer

First, thank you for traveling for this special day. We appreciate the amount of time, thought, and energy that you have sacrificed to celebrate with us. There are a number of hotels of various price ranges in the Winston Salem and Advance area. For a more cost-friendly option, there are some Air-Bnb's that will have vacancy if reserved in advance.

Question

Is the wedding venue accessible?

Answer

Yes! This church is an accessible facility from the low-incline ramps by the main entrance to the wide hallways, elevators, and American Sign Language interpreters. If you have specific concerns, please contact us so that we can make accommodations prior to the wedding day.
