Grab a board and hit the waves ! Not your thing? Take a drive up to the Hearst Castle in San Simeon and on the way back stop in wine country, located mostly around the Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo areas. You will find numerous wineries to explore, with a few favorite wineries listed below. Looking for a more relaxing day? Pull up a seat on the sidewalks of one of the great coffee shops in Arroyo Grande, Avila Beach, or San Luis Obispo (see our favorite listed below). Stroll the streets of Pismo Beach for great sightseeing and endless taquerias, BBQ joints, and seafood places. At the end of the day, throw down a blanket on one of the many beaches and enjoy one of the stunning sunsets over the Pacific. Below is a map of recommended places. Arroyo Grande, the location of the wedding venue is not shown on the map, but If you drew a line directly east from Pismo Beach, you would find Arroyo Grande. Hearst Castle in San Simeon is furthest going north.

There is an endless supply of gift shops and if you forgot a hat to protect from the sun, you will find your new favorite hat here in Pismo. Don't forget the suntan lotion!
