Things To Do

Delicious beer and gorgeous Spruceton Valley views. Just down the street from Newton Farm. West Kill Brewery is run by our friends Mike and Colleen. We'll be having a meet and greet here Friday night but they are open all weekend.

A must try! Delicious locally sourced food. Great for breakfast and lunch. There is also a bar and a coffee truck called the Lot.

Diamond Notch Falls

Diamond Notch Falls

Lexington, NY 12492

Mild hike at the end of Spruceton Road. Waterfall about 2 miles in. Stop by the Spruceton Inn for a drink afterwards.

Kaaterskill Falls

Kaaterskill Falls

The most famous hike in the Catskills, and the most beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. Be prepared for crowds and slippery rocks, but it’s a pretty low-key hike.

Hunter Mountain

Hunter Mountain

Fire tower with excellent views. Moderate to difficult hiking. Second highest peak in the Catskills.

Overlook Mountain Trail

Overlook Mountain Trail

Cool old hotel ruin you can walk through. Relatively long trip to the top, but worth it for the views.

Slide Mountain

Slide Mountain

The highest peak in the Catskills.

Devil's Path

Devil's Path

Very intense. Take it on if you like a challenge. There are numerous viewpoints along the way, so you don’t have to do the whole things.

New York Zipline Adventures LLC

New York Zipline Adventures LLC

64 Klein Avenue, Hunter, NY 12442
, (518) 263-4388

We haven’t done it yet, but it sounds like a lot of fun. Supposedly, they have one of the longest zip lines in the world.

Town Tinker Tube Rental

Town Tinker Tube Rental

10 Bridge Street, Phoenicia, NY 12464
, (845) 688-5553

This 1-hour ride down the Esopus is so much fun (and more thrilling than you'd think). We laughed the whole way. It’s safe, but not appropriate for small children.

For all the days along the way
