We met at volleyball practice in 8th grade - I remember seeing you play and thinking how strong and badass you were - and that is still who you are today. I have so many memories I cherish with you, laying on the roof of your parents house looking at stars, sneaking out windows, hide and seek through your neighborhood and so many other secret childhood memories that will always be so special to us. I am so blessed to always have you in my corner, and for us always picking up right where we leave off. If you had not asked me to work for you at your new bar when I was only 19 years old, I would have never met the man I am about to marry and for that I will always be grateful to you. You are our bestfriend, you have offered us both solace and helped us get back on our feet more times than I can count, you have given us a family in your bar. We would not have our home if it was not for the roof you put there. My dog is quite literally your namesake. Dak - You are one of the many reasons and people that have shown us that we are exactly where we are supposed to be. You and Tod being friends in high school and then going your separate ways, moving to different states, only to reconnect years later when we show up to small group one Thursday at my sisters house. It's so funny the way God works, the way he shows you people or moments that make you think "aha! This is a sign! I'm doing what I'm supposed to, I'm on the path that I'm meant to be on" and yours and Tods friendship blossoming again, picking up like you never stopped, bringing your wife into my life and having her friendship - those were all many "aha!" moments for Tod and I, and we are so blessed to have you both in our life.

Running up to me & throwing your arms around me, smooches, cuddles, dancing, mischievousness, curiosity, and your tender heart are just a few things that I love so much about you. You have taught me patience, how to see the world through a child's eyes, and prepared me to become a mother. We have had such a fierce bond since you were born, I still remember making you laugh for the first time. The love you and Uncle Tod have for each other & all things motorcycle and sports and watching your bond grow means that we could not get married without you!

I remember the day so clearly when Ally found out she was pregnant, we were texting about her doctor's appointment and all of the sudden she texts me to call her immediately and I already knew. I remember speeding to the doctors office to pick her up, and the drive to Custer City Tastee Freeze to get banana pepper rings and absolutely freaking out over Tyc being in her belly. The first little boy to steal my heart, the first little human to call me "Aunt Nan", my best bud. I absolutely could not have the most special day of my life without you in it!
