Do you have a hotel block for guests? How to I book a room?
Answer
Yes, our wedding venue ‘Abbaye de Talloires’ is where the wedding ceremony, reception, and Sunday brunch will be held and the entire hotel is blocked for only our wedding guests on the night of Saturday, May 24th. The hotel only has 37 rooms so availability is limited and on a first come basis (starting August 16). **Do not try and book a room through the hotel’s website or by calling the hotel directly as it will always show zero availability due to our private wedding. To book a room please contact Mélody or Lina by e-mail listed below. Specify that the reservation is for the Blatt-Tocci wedding so that you can benefit from the preferential rate. Where do you recommend I stay?
Answer
We highly encourage our guests to stay at the wedding venue’ Abbaye de Talloires’ hotel the night of the wedding if possible. It is located on the shores of Lake Annecy, in Talloires, and is about 8 miles (13 km)/ 28 minutes from the heart of old town Annecy. The entire hotel is blocked for only our wedding guests on Saturday, May 24th making the whole hotel a private event for us to enjoy and celebrate. Also, we strongly suggest staying in ‘Old Town’ Annecy for the nights before (or after) the wedding because there is so much to do and see! The bride and groom, along with their close family, will be staying in an Airbnb right next to the Medieval Jail called "Le Palais de I’Île" in the center of town. The Friday Welcome Party will be in Old Town as well.

Are children welcome at the wedding?
Answer
As much as we love your little ones, the wedding will be an adults-only celebration for the night of the wedding on Saturday, May 24th. Children are welcome to the Friday Night Welcome Party and Sunday Brunch. If you are staying at the Abbaye de Talloires they do provide a list of nanny services they have used in the past, so please contact the hotel for further information. We hope this advance notice means you can let your hair down and celebrate with us on the day!

Where is the nearest airport?
Answer
The nearest airport is Geneva, Switzerland which is 43 km, about 45 minutes from Annecy however you might find better flight deals from the U.S. to other major European cities like Heathrow where you can connect with a small commuter flight to Geneva. The next nearest airport would be Lyon which is 126 km, about 1hour and 20 minutes.

If I fly into Geneva, Switzerland & drive or take a train to Annecy, France do I need go through a border or customs?

Nope, this will not even be an option on your travels from Geneva to Annecy.

Will the ceremony and the reception be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Weather permitting the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place in the outdoor gardens of the Abbaye de Talloires followed by dinner, drinks, and dancing both inside and outside the Abbaye.

What is parking like in Old Town Annecy?
Answer
Parking is not permitted within the old city of Annecy but there are public parking lots available on the perimeter. Some hotels do have their own parking lots.

What is parking at the wedding venue?
Answer
Parking will be available at the wedding venue for overnight guests only, one car per room. Parking for guests not staying at the Abbaye: There is a public lot with a fee in Talloires located at 233 Rte du Port, 74290 Talloires-Montmin, France. This is a six-minute walk to the Abbaye.

Black Tie Preferred! Please see the ‘Attire’ tab on the website menu. Style is something that is incredibly special to the bride. We would love to see you all looking enchanting as It will be an elegant affair in a thousand-year-old abbey, nestled below the French Alps on the shores of Lake Annecy. We would like to see our friends and family get fancy with us and can’t wait to capture everlasting moments with each of you in your fabulous outfits. We love color and all the joy it brings and we kindly encourage our favorite people to dress in our color palette on our special day. Think bright pastels and moody gem tones mixed with a classic black color. Please kindly avoid neon colors and browns. Ladies, floor-length dresses in summery colorful sorbet hues, rich gem tones, or romantic floral prints. Think effortless elegance that will take you from day to night. Opt for luminous silks, romantic ruffles, shimmering details, floaty chiffons, or other soft textures to channel the effortless elegance of French fashion. Please kindly avoid neon colors and browns. Gentlemen, we ask the men to wear a tuxedo or dark suit and tie but don’t shy away from accessorizing with pops of floral and plaid in your ties, pocket squares, and socks.
