For years, our mutual friends insisted we were meant to be. Separately, they told each of us that the other was exactly our type - that we would be perfect together. The timing, however, was never quite right. Life had other plans… until it didn’t. When we finally went on our first date, everything clicked. Conversation flowed effortlessly, laughter filled the night, Katie beat Toby at putt-putt (a detail worth noting), and somehow hours slipped by unnoticed. What was supposed to be a simple evening turned into singing car karaoke in the driveway for over an hour. As we hugged goodbye, we both knew - this felt different. What began as a long-overdue first date quickly became the easiest, most natural love we’ve ever known. We are so grateful for the friends who saw it before we did and for the family who has supported us every step of the way.
