Her Story

January 2021

Our story began back in January 2021 on Dil Mil. However, unlike most couples on dating apps our experience had a twist to it. So it all began when Priya (our cupid and match maker) was curious on how dating apps worked and I was too busy finishing my last semester of PA school to put effort into my love life. So me being the nice and generous cousin, I let her do the swiping on my account. She happened to get me a match with Toby. Initially some messages on the app were exchanged, which lead to texts and then lead to facetimes. After months of FaceTiming and texting, Toby slyly mentioned coming to Buffalo where I was finishing up school. In May he came to visit me for the first time. I remember driving to the airport to pick him up I had major butterflies to the point of nausea but it all calmed down when he jumped into my car and started yapping away haha Our first date obviously had to be Niagara Falls because what else is there to do in Buffalo! After that weekend - for the first time in my life, I felt like I finally met someone that matched my energy - and as cheesy as it sounds, I felt like I met my other half! Since then, we haven't been able to leave each other's side. I can't believe after all these years we're FINALLY GETTING MARRIED! Im so excited for this next chapter of our lives.

His Story

January 2021

It all began with a swipe. After swiping left and right on Dil Mil, one particular match caught my eye. After a few messages of small talk, it only took the usual line of "Do you have snapchat?" to deepen our conversations outside of the dating app. At first, it was just casual messages, like the typical "getting to know you" questions and the occasional memes to keep things fun. I remember our first Facetime call, i was at work during break and i had some sort of fluttery feeling in my chest which may have been me being nervous. Pacing back and forth figuring out what to say, what to talk about it. The call came in and it went just as perfect as you can imagine. Both of us still a bit nervous but we were both comfortable. But as days turned into weeks, those simple chats turned into something more meaningful. We discovered how much we had in common. After months of talking, texting, and countless video calls, I knew we had to meet in person. So, with a mix of excitement and nerves in May 2021, I decided to take a leap of faith and fly to Buffalo where she went to school. Flying out to buffalo and sitting on the plane, the nerves kicked in like crazy. I get out of the airport, eagerly waiting for Nia to pick me up and soon as i see her beautiful smile coming to hug me, i felt at ease like never before. Being with her the first time, having endless laughs and conversations really showed how comfortable we got with one another. Everything just flowed gracefully. I enjoyed every second of it and was eager to see her again. Look at us Nia, we both took that leap of faith on each other and now with our faith in God, we are going to be Husband and Wife. AHHHH!!!

For all the days along the way
