Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

We love you and that means, we love all of you including your kids! The island is an amazing family friendly location and a wonderful place to bring your kids to make memories. The Night Heron Park is an awesome place for kids of all ages to hang out, and there's always the beach / pools / bikes / tennis. That being said, it's up to you! Just let us know what you decide on your RSVP.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Anywhere you prefer! There a ton of varying accommodations and price ranges. Some options are Charleston (~45 - 60 mins drive), Johns Island (~10 - 20 mins) , Seabrook Island (~5 - 10 mins), and Kiawah Island (~2 - 10 mins) from our venue. Zack and Sarah with immediate family will be staying on Kiawah Island. We absolutely LOVE Kiawah and highly recommend staying on island. It is beautiful and walking on the beach is just amazing. The homes are truly insane and if you can group up with your family or friends, that would be our suggestion

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend staying wherever works for you. Check our Travel page for options we’ve researched for you!

Question

What should we wear to the ceremony?

Answer

Attire is Summer Formal. Men: jackets are not required. Please, no shorts or flip flops. Women: the floor of the venue is made almost entirely of pine, and so we recommend closed toed shoes. We recommend dressing in light, airy fabrics in thinking of the summer humidity. The evenings can drop to 65 - 75 depending. The sun sets around 8:20 PM EST and the reception ends at 10 PM EST.

Question

How do you recommend getting around?

Answer

If you're staying on Kiawah, you can basically bike, walk or take the shuttle most anywhere on island. That being said, a car does add convenience. Option A: Rental Car. We highly recommend renting a car and sharing with family / friends to get around. Option B: Complimentary on-island transportation. If you're staying in a home, villa, The Andell Inn or The Sanctuary you can utilize the on-island transportation by calling the concierge / transportation services. This is interisland only. You will still need to arrange for a way to get to / from the airport. Option C: Lyft / Uber. We have not had the opportunity to test this out to get to Kiawah. We were told that you can have transportation drop you off, but that Lyft/Uber are not allowed into the island for pickup back to the airport. Option D: Taxi / Shuttle / Private Transportation. We did see a lot of taxi services at the airport available. We took note of "https://www.absolutecharlestontaxilimousine.com/" and "Grant's Limo Taxi (843) 823-1787". You can also contact Kiawah directly and arrange transportation.

Question

What day should we plan to come?

Answer

That's entirely up to you. Make it a vacation or a quick weekend trip. We will be arriving earlier in the week with the bridal and groom parties to celebrate. Our families will be arriving on Wednesday evening. Our first event is on Thursday.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation will have the names of all invited guests. Text us if you have any questions.

For all the days along the way
