After a girls trip to South Carolina, Jordan had a few random snapchat friend requests from names of people she has never heard of. So as any female would do, she put on her detective hat and was plugging the names into Facebook and Instagram to see who they were. Only one individual from those requests stood out, John Tobias, as he and Jordan had a few mutual friends in common - one being someone she was on the trip in South Carolina with, the other was someone she went to PA school with. From what she could see on his Instagram, John was tall, handsome and had a wonderful smile. So naturally, she added him on instagram, because why not? He adds her back. A few weeks go by and no words are exchanged - but maybe a few "likes" on photos or stories. Then one afternoon, John FINALLY decided to slide into Jordan's DM's with a very sweet but blunt statement of "Hey Jordan. I don't really know how we know each other or started to follow each other. But, I want to say I think you're beautiful and hope you have a great day". Jordan was in fact having an awful day as she had just gotten off a crazy shift in the Emergency Room and just thought the message was the sweetest. She messaged back and the conversation started to flow. This progressed to exchanging number (which she did not realize she was already put to the first test if her texts were blue for iphone or green for andriod). PHEW. Thank goodness Jordan is team iphone. Jordan did not fully realize John actually lived in California at the time. But both saw and felt something in the other which lead them to keep things going. A week later John was visiting a college friend in Ohio and on his way back to Chicago to his parents house, he asked Jordan if she would like to meet for brunch. John had told Jordan that was the best first date he had ever had. Then two weeks later, Jordan was flying out to visit John in California. So she must have felt the same way. They had a wonderful time continuing to get to know one another, exploring San Francisco and biking over the Golden Gate Bridge. This all pretty much sealed the deal going forward. John eventually met Jordan's two cats and fell in love with them as well. A year goes by, and they pursue a long distance relationship between Indiana and California. They traveled to different places around the U.S together as well as France to explore and continue making memories. After a year of long distance, the couple decided it was time. Jordan and her two cats moved to California to start a new venture living in San Francisco together. After another year together of traveling the world making countless memories, attending five weddings, two bachelorette parties, one bachelor party and one retirement party - John popped the question. He proposed to Jordan in Yosemite National Park. On top of a beautiful mountain overlooking the valley at sunset. And she said YES! Now, let's circle back. I know you all are wondering what happened to the snapchat ordeal. So was Jordan. she remembered how she even came to find this amazing man on Instragram and how she got so lucky. So she screen shot the snapchat profile asking John if this was his snapchat. Since both of them never snapped each other or pursued that line of communication. John simply responded with a screen shot of a different snapchat account and candidly responded NOPE. So all in all, Jordan and John meeting was a random chance. All because a fake John Tobias robot on snapchat decided to follow her. Both Jordan and John send nothing but thanks to this fake bot account for leading them to each other, the REAL John Tobias and Jordan. Others would call this fate. <3
